• • As a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst at Duck Creek Technologies, you will be an integral part of the Security Operations function, playing a crucial role in safeguarding the company's digital assets and sensitive data.
• • This position is centered on the design, implementation, and ongoing management of robust cybersecurity controls, ensuring the protection of Duck Creek’s extensive systems and critical information.
• • You will be responsible for the vigilant monitoring of systems, meticulously correlating logs to identify potential security events and generating timely alerts for any suspected incidents.
• • A key aspect of your role will involve maintaining an up-to-date understanding of emerging cyber threats, proactively enhancing our protective measures to stay ahead of evolving risks.
• • This role provides essential Tier 1 support for all Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, encompassing incident response, initial forensic analysis, and comprehensive reporting.
• • You will collaborate closely with the broader Cybersecurity Operations team, contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of our security posture and ensuring effective responses to the dynamic landscape of cybersecurity challenges.
• • This is a dedicated individual contributor role, emphasizing technical expertise and operational support, without direct people management responsibilities.
• • You will provide first-level support for the execution of best-in-class controls and processes across critical security domains, including threat management, incident management, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
• • Your responsibilities will include determining appropriate courses of action based on established guidelines and actively contributing to the modification and enhancement of existing processes to improve security effectiveness.
• • You will actively support and monitor security controls implemented across a diverse range of assets, including servers, network appliances, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• • Utilizing your evaluation and judgment, you will ensure these controls are functioning effectively and assist in the implementation of new security configurations to further safeguard systems and data.
• • A significant part of your contribution will involve assisting in the management of network security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data loss prevention tools, and network access control mechanisms.
• • Your efforts will be crucial in protecting Duck Creek’s networks by adapting existing approaches and implementing solutions to resolve security issues.
• • You will provide vital support for secure remote access solutions, ensuring the safety of access for employees, third-party vendors, and clients, employing sophisticated analytical techniques to address unusual or complex circumstances.
• • Your monitoring activities will involve correlating logs from various sources to identify security events, generating alerts for potential incidents, and contributing to incident response efforts through both internal and external monitoring channels.
• • You will play a role in the analysis and investigation of security events to mitigate threats, while consistently staying informed about the latest emerging risks and threat actor tactics.
• • You will assist in the delivery of key performance metrics as required by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), contributing to periodic and ad hoc reporting for both internal management and external clients.
• • You will perform routine assignments, applying judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the most appropriate action.
• • You will apply learned techniques and contribute to the analysis and investigation of security-related problems, developing effective solutions.
