Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the complete lifecycle of fleet damage control across North America, ensuring every campervan in our fast-growing network is road-ready, cost-efficient, and safe for the next adventure. You will manage hundreds of incidents per month across six states, translating damage reports into precise repair strategies, budgets, and timelines that keep utilization rates high and downtime low.
- • Drive data-driven decisions by building and maintaining a centralized damage database in Airtable and Excel. You will log every dent, scratch, and mechanical failure, tag root causes, and generate weekly KPI dashboards that reveal trends in driver behavior, station performance, and vendor quality—insights that directly influence training programs, policy updates, and capital expenditure.
- • Act as the primary liaison between roadsurfer stations, external body shops, insurance carriers, and customers. You will negotiate repair estimates, secure volume discounts, and shepherd each claim from first notice of loss to final payment, slashing average cycle time while protecting company margins. When disputes arise, you will cite policy language and present photographic evidence to uphold fair outcomes for both the business and the renter.
- • Protect revenue by issuing accurate customer damage invoices within 24 hours of vehicle return. You will craft clear, concise explanations of charges, handle escalations with empathy and firmness, and convert potential one-star reviews into five-star resolutions that preserve brand loyalty and reduce chargebacks.
- • Lead virtual stand-ups every Monday with station technicians and regional managers to review open tickets, approve urgent repairs, and share preventive-maintenance best practices. Your agenda will set the tone for operational discipline and ensure that every location follows standardized inspection checklists and photo documentation protocols.
- • Design and deliver quarterly M&R training modules that upskill station staff on damage identification, cost-control tactics, and customer communication scripts. Your workshops will blend real case studies, live software demos, and role-play scenarios to shrink knowledge gaps and build a culture of accountability.
- • Respond to roadside breakdown and accident alerts within 15 minutes during business hours, coordinating towing, temporary replacements, and customer communication so travelers can continue their journeys with minimal disruption. After hours, you will triage emergencies through our on-call rotation and document lessons learned for future prevention.
- • Champion compliance by auditing damage folders, repair invoices, and insurance files to ensure DOT, EPA, and company standards are met. You will flag missing documentation, recommend corrective actions, and prepare spotless records for annual insurance renewals and potential litigation.
- • Optimize total cost of ownership by analyzing repair-vs-replace decisions for high-mileage units, forecasting parts availability, and piloting mobile repair pilots in key markets. Your recommendations will directly influence fleet rotation schedules and resale values.
- • Travel up to 15 % of the year to conduct on-site inspections, vendor evaluations, and team-building events at flagship stations from Miami to Seattle. Your presence will strengthen relationships, validate remote data, and inspire frontline teams to uphold roadsurfer’s reputation for safety and reliability.
- • Embrace the roadsurfer culture by living our five core values daily: greet colleagues with Free Hugs positivity, defend the fleet with All for One collaboration, solve problems with Brutal Hands-On urgency, build Trustety transparency, and Own Your Ship accountability for every decision and dollar spent.
