• • Astreya Partners is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Data Architect to join our dynamic team, operating remotely from India. This pivotal role is designed for an individual with 12 to 15 years of dedicated experience in shaping and implementing robust data strategies. The primary focus of this position will be on defining the overarching data architecture, with a strong emphasis on security, governance, and scalability. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our data pipelines are not only secure and compliant but also cost-efficient and adhere to stringent enterprise standards, laying the foundation for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• • As a Data Architect, your responsibilities will span the entire data lifecycle. You will be tasked with designing the comprehensive end-to-end logical and physical data architecture, translating complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions. This includes defining clear and actionable Data Governance policies, establishing robust metadata management strategies, and ensuring the integrity and quality of our data assets. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting the optimal cloud service tiers within AWS, meticulously balancing performance requirements with cost optimization to maximize value and minimize expenditure.
• • A key aspect of this role involves the implementation of Data Contracts. These contracts will serve as the critical interface, ensuring seamless and reliable data handoffs between various engineering teams and data science initiatives. This proactive approach to data integration will foster collaboration and accelerate the development and deployment of data-driven products and insights. You will be responsible for producing a range of critical deliverables, including High-Level Design (HLD) documents that articulate the architectural vision, detailed Data Lineage Maps to provide transparency into data flow and transformations, and comprehensive Security & Compliance Audits to ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.
• • The technical landscape for this role is firmly rooted in the AWS ecosystem. You will leverage a suite of powerful AWS services for data ingestion and processing, including AWS API Gateway for managing API access, AWS Lambda for serverless compute, AWS Glue ETL for robust data transformation, and AWS Glue Crawler for discovering data assets. For data storage and analytics, you will work with Amazon S3 for scalable object storage, Amazon Redshift as our primary data warehouse, and Amazon Athena for interactive querying of data in S3.
• • Governance and security are paramount. You will utilize AWS Lake Formation for simplifying the setup and management of data lakes, AWS IAM for fine-grained access control, AWS CloudTrail for monitoring API activity, and Amazon CloudWatch for performance monitoring and logging. Furthermore, you will explore and integrate cutting-edge AI and Analytics capabilities, including AWS Bedrock, to unlock new insights and drive innovation. The underlying infrastructure and architecture will be managed using AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code, and you will employ Data Modeling Tools such as SQLDBM or similar to design and document data models effectively.
