đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Data Center Construction Manager at FluidStack Inc., you will own the end-to-end execution of green-field and brown-field GPU data center builds worldwide, ensuring the delivery of mission-critical infrastructure that powers advanced AI workloads for industry leaders like Meta, Mistral, and Black Forest Labs. Your role is pivotal in translating FluidStack’s vision of abundant intelligence into physical reality by overseeing safe, on-schedule, and on-budget construction that meets extreme power and cooling density requirements.
  • • You will build, maintain, and execute integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, covering all phases from design and procurement through construction and commissioning, while proactively identifying delays and issuing recovery plans to keep fast-track global projects on target.
  • • Enforce FluidStack’s safety program with a relentless focus on achieving a zero-incident culture across all subcontractors and trades, conducting regular safety briefings, audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and local jurisdictional codes.
  • • Coordinate CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) trades in real time, resolving field conflicts, managing interface points, and verifying that installations meet FluidStack’s stringent technical and performance specifications for high-density GPU environments.
  • • Track and report daily progress, spend, earned value, and resource loading; manage change orders, RFIs, material submittals, and QA/QC processes to maintain financial and schedule integrity across multiple concurrent projects.
  • • Serve as the primary liaison between Design, Procurement, Commissioning, and Operations teams to ensure seamless hand-offs, validate constructability, and align execution with long-term operational readiness and performance benchmarks.
  • • Lead the development of scopes of work, technical exhibits, and contract packages for critical path trades, managing construction contracts from award through close-out to ensure compliance with budget, schedule, technical specs, and FluidStack’s quality standards.
  • • Oversee contractor adherence to deliverables, payment terms, reporting cadence, and site-specific safety and security protocols, conducting regular performance reviews and holding vendors accountable for quality and timeliness.
  • • Interpret BIM/Revit models and IFC packages on-site to validate design intent, detect clashes early, and guide field decisions, ensuring that as-built conditions align with design documentation and FluidStack’s infrastructure standards.
  • • Travel 50% or more to active construction sites domestically and internationally, providing hands-on leadership, mentoring junior staff, and representing FluidStack’s standards in high-pressure, fast-moving construction environments.
  • • Join a purpose-driven, high-velocity team committed to accelerating the future of intelligence, where your work directly enables breakthroughs in AI research and deployment by delivering the physical infrastructure that makes large-scale model training and inference possible.
  • • Develop expert-level competence in hyperscale data center construction, gaining rare experience in managing extreme-density GPU facilities at the forefront of AI infrastructure innovation, positioning you as a leader in mission-critical facility delivery.

🎯 Requirements

  • • B.S./B.E./B.A. in an engineering discipline with preferred construction management certification or equivalent qualification.
  • • 7+ years of proven experience managing hyperscale, semiconductor, or mission-critical construction projects, preferably in data centers or high-tech industrial facilities.
  • • Deep knowledge of CSA and MEP construction phases, procurement workflows, cost controls, and experience delivering fast-track projects across multiple geographies.
  • • OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent) and strong familiarity with NFPA 70E, local building codes, permit processes, and industrial safety standards.
  • • Ability to read and interpret BIM/Revit models and IFC packages in real time to support field decision-making and clash detection.
  • • Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more to active project sites as required.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive total compensation package including base salary ($120,000–$200,000) and equity in the form of stock options.
  • • Retirement or pension plan aligned with local norms and regulations.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy in accordance with local standards.
