  • • As a Data Center Design Engineer at TensorWave, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the physical foundation of our AI cloud platform, ensuring that our data centers are engineered for peak performance, reliability, and scalability to support the next generation of intelligent computing workloads.
  • • You will lead end-to-end design of mission-critical data center infrastructure, integrating architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems to meet stringent operational and efficiency standards while enabling rapid scaling of AI compute capacity.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing detailed data center layouts and infrastructure designs covering power distribution, cooling systems, and space planning; producing and reviewing technical documents such as floor plans, equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, and specifications; collaborating with internal engineering teams and external consultants to coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts; ensuring compliance with industry standards including ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, TIA-942, NEC, and local building codes; conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and capacity planning analyses; participating in design reviews, value engineering sessions, and construction oversight to verify design intent is maintained throughout the build process; and contributing to the continuous improvement of TensorWave’s data center design templates and technical standards.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • • Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering design experience, with at least 2 years focused specifically on mission-critical or data center projects.
  • • Proficiency in industry-standard design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam (or equivalent tools) for creating detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
  • • Strong working knowledge of data center infrastructure systems, particularly power distribution, mechanical cooling (HVAC), and spatial planning for high-density equipment.
  • • Familiarity with critical industry standards and codes such as NEC, ASHRAE thermal guidelines, Uptime Institute Tier classifications, and local building regulations.
  • • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, solve complex engineering problems, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
