📋 Description

• As a Data Engineer at Cohere, you will work on foundational infrastructure that enables the deployment and scaling of advanced AI systems, directly contributing to how enterprises leverage AI for real-world impact.
• You will collaborate daily with world-class researchers and engineers to design, build, and maintain production-grade data processing systems that support product launches, customer experiences, and internal analytics.
• You will take end-to-end ownership of data pipelines—from ingesting unstructured data to transforming it into performant datasets across storage systems like S3, GCS, and POSIX—ensuring reliability and scalability.
• You will partner cross-functionally with teams in research, marketing, sales, and finance to turn data insights into strategic recommendations that shape product direction and business growth.
• You will operate in a fast-paced, innovative environment where experimentation and ownership are encouraged, helping to define best practices for AI-driven data infrastructure.
• You will gain deep exposure to cutting-edge AI systems and modern data stack technologies, expanding your expertise in distributed processing, orchestration, and analytics tooling.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working on production-grade data processing systems
• Strong command of Python and SQL
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam, Spark, or Flink
• Ability to transform unstructured data into performant datasets across diverse storage backends including S3, GCS, and POSIX
• Experience with modern orchestration platforms, especially Kubernetes (nice to have)
• Familiarity with modern analytics stack tooling such as BigQuery, Airflow, or dbt (nice to have)
