- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and maintaining ETL pipelines in Databricks, developing data normalization frameworks, ensuring code quality through software engineering practices, managing CI/CD processes, integrating Databricks with enterprise systems via APIs and S3, collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting technical requirements, and evaluating data transfer patterns for NASA’s security and performance needs.
- • The role is part of CACI’s Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group, a team dedicated to mission-critical projects for federal clients, emphasizing complex problem-solving, communication, and collaboration in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
- • The position offers opportunities to deepen expertise in Databricks Lakehouse architecture, cloud-based data engineering, federal government data systems, and agile delivery practices while contributing to high-impact NASA missions involving cybersecurity, data governance, and mission operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- • Experience building scalable ETL pipelines and data ingestion pipelines in Databricks, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Metrics tier data models
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust background investigation
- • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in dynamic, multi-team environments
- • Experience with version control, automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD for data pipelines
