- • A Software Asset Manager at GDIT is a subject matter expert responsible for managing complex software licensing, compliance, and optimization initiatives using the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) platform, ensuring regulatory adherence and financial optimization aligned with enterprise ITAM goals.
- • Day to day, the role involves leading end-to-end license reconciliation for major vendors, analyzing Effective License Position (ELP) using ServiceNow SAM Pro, interpreting licensing agreements, identifying and remediating compliance risks, providing strategic guidance on vendor renewals, leading audit defense efforts, driving software optimization initiatives, developing dashboards and reports, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating across ITAM, ITSM, Security, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure data quality and process maturity.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or work experience
- • 5+ years of experience as an Enterprise Software Asset Manager with 3+ years hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, including entitlement management, normalization, and software compliance
- • Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow SAM Pro capabilities, including SaaS License Management, automation, integration with CMDB and Discovery, and workflow definition for software asset lifecycles
