Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Data Scientist in Fulfilment at Nivoda Limited, you will play a critical role in transforming the company’s supply chain by building predictive models that replace broad delivery estimates with precise, reliable delivery dates for diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery across a global hub network. Your work will directly impact two of Nivoda’s core pillars—speed and accuracy—enabling faster, more efficient fulfilment and supporting the company’s rapid global expansion in the jewellery marketplace.
  • • You will own end-to-end delivery prediction by developing and iterating on machine learning models that incorporate hub performance data, team throughput, and routing logic to move from time-window estimates (e.g., '3–5 days') to specific, accurate delivery dates, continuously improving model accuracy through feedback and real-world validation.
  • • You will develop and maintain demand forecasting models for Express offerings across product categories including diamonds, melee, gemstones, and jewellery, using statistical and ML techniques to predict demand patterns and determine optimal inventory levels by hub and product type to prevent both stockouts and overstocking.
  • • You will identify and quantify opportunities to reduce lead times and improve fulfilment accuracy across Nivoda’s global network, partnering with data engineering to define data requirements, build robust pipelines, and surface actionable insights that drive operational improvements in speed and accuracy.
  • • You will collaborate closely with the Fulfilment and data engineering teams to translate model outputs into operational decisions, ensuring that predictive systems are integrated into workflows and continuously refined based on real-time operational feedback and changing business needs.
  • • You will operate with high autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, owning your projects from problem definition and data exploration through model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring, while contributing to a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making during Nivoda’s phase of exponential growth.
  • • You will join a globally distributed, innovative team headquartered in London with hubs in New York, Hong Kong, and Mumbai, working within a company that is redefining the traditional jewellery industry through technology, transparency, and customer-centricity, where your contributions will have measurable impact on supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
  • • You will develop deep expertise in applying data science to complex operational challenges in logistics and fulfilment, gaining hands-on experience with forecasting, inventory optimisation, and real-time data systems at scale, while advancing your skills in ML, statistical modelling, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-growth startup environment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5–7+ years of experience as a data scientist with a proven track record of building and deploying predictive models in production environments
  • • Proficiency in machine learning, statistical modelling, and forecasting techniques, including time-series analysis and regression methods
  • • Ability to work highly autonomously, owning projects end-to-end without requiring close supervision
  • • Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering with data engineering teams to translate model needs into data infrastructure and pipelines
  • • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with evolving priorities and incomplete information

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Flexible working hours and a vibrant, inclusive company culture that values diversity and innovation
  • • Fully remote work arrangement within European timezones, enabling location independence
  • • Unlimited holiday allowance to support work-life balance and well-being
  • • Significant opportunities for growth and learning in a rapidly scaling company during its exponential expansion phase
  • • Chance to make a tangible impact on supply chain performance in a mission-driven organisation transforming a traditional industry
