  • • Azul Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deal Desk Director to join our World Wide Revenue Operations team. This pivotal role reports directly to the SVP of Revenue Operations and will serve as a critical partner to our Global Sales Organization, offering comprehensive support and expert guidance on all commercial aspects of our deals.
  • • As the Deal Desk Director, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and compliant execution of sales agreements. Your primary responsibilities will include the rigorous enforcement of contracting standards, ensuring that all deals adhere to Azul's established policies and best practices. This involves a deep understanding of our contractual frameworks and the ability to guide sales teams effectively.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve navigating and resolving complex, non-standard terms that may arise during deal negotiations. You will be expected to analyze these requests, assess their implications, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to find mutually agreeable solutions that protect Azul's interests while facilitating business growth.
  • • You will also play a key role in facilitating complex deal structures. This requires a strategic mindset and the ability to design and implement innovative yet compliant deal frameworks that meet the unique needs of our customers and sales teams, particularly in a high-tech, subscription-based environment.
  • • Cross-functional collaboration will be at the heart of this position. You will work closely with critical departments including Finance, Legal, and Senior Leadership. This partnership is essential for aligning deal strategies with financial objectives, ensuring legal compliance, and securing necessary approvals for non-standard agreements.
  • • The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record from a high-performance, high-tech subscription-based company. Experience supporting a global organization is paramount, demonstrating your ability to manage diverse markets and sales teams effectively.
  • • You will be responsible for driving deal velocity and predictability by streamlining the quote-to-cash process. This includes identifying bottlenecks, implementing process improvements, and ensuring that sales teams have the tools and support they need to close deals efficiently.
  • • Proactive risk assessment and mitigation will be a key function. You will identify potential risks associated with deal terms, pricing, and compliance, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks before they impact the business.
  • • You will also contribute to the development and refinement of sales policies, playbooks, and training materials related to deal desk operations, ensuring consistency and best practices across the global sales force.
  • • This role demands a strong understanding of subscription revenue recognition principles and their impact on deal structuring.
  • • You will act as a trusted advisor to the sales team, providing strategic insights and solutions that enable them to overcome obstacles and achieve their targets.
  • • The Deal Desk Director will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team (if applicable in future growth) or driving initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of the deal desk function.
  • • You will analyze deal performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership to inform future sales strategies and operational improvements.
