- • As a Senior Analyst on the Deal Desk team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Anaplan's AMER sales operations, ensuring the seamless and compliant execution of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deals. This position is critical for optimizing business decision-making by enabling our customers to leverage Anaplan's leading AI-infused scenario planning and analysis platform effectively. You will be instrumental in structuring, quoting, and processing complex SaaS offers, partnering closely with the sales field to guarantee that every deal is not only compliant with Anaplan's policies but also accurately priced and strategically positioned for long-term customer success.
- • Your responsibilities will extend beyond mere transaction processing; you will be expected to exercise independent judgment, apply critical thinking to assess unique deal scenarios, and proactively identify potential commercial, legal, or technical risks. A key aspect of this role involves providing well-reasoned recommendations to Deal Managers and leadership, demonstrating a proactive and solution-oriented approach rather than simply following predefined scripts. This requires a deep understanding of Anaplan's products, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies, which you will continuously maintain and update.
- • Daily, you will engage in a variety of tasks designed to facilitate efficient deal closure. This includes providing expert guidance to the sales team on deal structuring, intricate pricing configurations, and specific contract requirements for opportunities ranging from standard to moderately complex. You will meticulously review and process deals within Salesforce and our Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) system, ensuring absolute accuracy and adherence to Anaplan's stringent policies.
- • A significant part of your role will involve the drafting, thorough review, and redlining of contracts for various scenarios, including new business acquisitions, add-on services, and renewals for our Cloud Subscription Services. This requires a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of contractual language and implications.
- • You will be the first line of defense in identifying and escalating any commercial, legal, or technical risks associated with a deal. Your ability to propose viable solutions and recommendations will be crucial in navigating these challenges and ensuring deals progress smoothly.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work hand-in-hand with Finance and Legal teams to meticulously verify contract terms, confirm pricing accuracy, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards. Effective communication will be key as you proactively engage with Sales and other cross-functional partners via Zoom, Slack, and email, clearly explaining policies, providing rationale for decisions, and fostering strong, trusted relationships.
- • To excel, you will need to maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of Anaplan's evolving product suite, its dynamic pricing models, and its overarching go-to-market strategies. This knowledge will empower you to provide the best possible guidance and support.
- • You will also contribute to critical deal reviews and forecasting activities by providing timely and accurate deal status updates and insightful analysis. Your input will help shape sales strategy and resource allocation.
- • Beyond day-to-day operations, you will actively contribute to process documentation and improvement initiatives. By identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions, you will help refine and optimize the Deal Desk's operational framework.
- • The ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously, while maintaining an unwavering attention to detail and consistently meeting deadlines, is paramount. This role demands a proactive, analytical, and highly organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic SaaS environment and is committed to Anaplan's Winning Culture, which champions diversity, innovation, and customer success.
