- • The Bankruptcy Specialist at Valon Technologies, Inc. is responsible for monitoring and managing bankruptcy loans throughout the lifecycle of the case, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and company procedures while helping prevent foreclosures and support homeowners in retaining their homes.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring bankruptcy loan pipelines, prioritizing tasks to meet timelines, overseeing and coordinating with bankruptcy counsel, tracking attorney SLAs, reviewing and validating key filings such as Proofs of Claim and Motions for Relief, performing quality control reviews, identifying and escalating risks or compliance concerns, handling client-specific and exception-based cases, maintaining accurate loan data in systems, and performing other assigned duties.
- • Valon is building the AI-native operating system for regulated finance, beginning with mortgage servicing. As a Series C company backed by a16z, Valon operates its own mortgage servicing business managing over $110 billion in loans, using this deep operational insight to build ValonOS—a unified, programmable platform that enables AI-driven transformation in complex industries. The company has turned a historically low-margin business into one with 60%+ margins while improving customer experience and securing major enterprise contracts.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in bankruptcy loan servicing across all chapters, strengthen end-to-end process ownership and compliance oversight, enhance coordination with external legal partners, and gain experience in a high-volume, process-driven environment with strict SLAs—positioning them for advancement in default servicing, mortgage operations, or regulated finance operations within an innovative, high-growth fintech company.
