📋 Description

• Design and implement a unified physical security strategy for Mistral AI’s France headquarters, aligning global policies with French and EU regulatory requirements.
• Lead the end-to-end management of physical security operations including access control, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and crisis response protocols for the HQ facility.
• Consolidate, negotiate, and oversee performance of security vendors under SLAs to ensure cost-efficiency, compliance, and service quality across guard services, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Establish and maintain a regulatory compliance program to achieve 100% adherence to French and EU laws including CNIL, RGPD, and NIS2, as well as international standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 28000.
• Deploy and integrate state-of-the-art security technologies, including AI-powered surveillance and automated access control systems, to enhance threat detection and operational resilience.
• Develop, test, and refine crisis response frameworks for high-impact incidents such as evacuations, lockdowns, cyber-physical threats, protests, and natural disasters.
• Formalize and maintain structured liaison protocols with French authorities including Police, Gendarmerie, and ANSSI to enable real-time threat intelligence sharing and coordinated security responses.
• Optimize the annual France security budget (€1M–3M) through vendor consolidation, risk-based prioritization, and efficiency improvements while maintaining uncompromised safety standards.
• Measure, monitor, and report on security performance using KPIs and risk assessments to ensure zero major incidents and continuous improvement of safety protocols.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external regulators on all matters related to physical security, compliance, and operational resilience.
• Build scalable, operational security solutions in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments, translating strategic objectives into actionable, day-to-day security practices.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards in handling sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality and trust in a high-stakes AI environment protecting intellectual property and employee safety.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience designing and implementing physical security programs for large, high-stakes facilities or multi-site operations
• Vendor management expertise with a track record of consolidating, negotiating, and optimizing security service contracts (e.g., guard services, CCTV, access control)
• Crisis leadership with hands-on experience developing and testing emergency response protocols for incidents like protests, cyber-physical threats, or natural disasters
• Deep knowledge of French/EU compliance frameworks (CNIL, RGPD, NIS2, ISO 27001/28000) and a history of leading audits or certifications
• Builder mentality—thrives in ambiguous environments, turning strategy into scalable, operational security solutions
• Data-driven decision-making—uses KPIs, risk assessments, and metrics to continuously improve security posture
