- • Serve as the primary liaison between Moniepoint’s engineering teams and external technical communities to communicate the depth and innovation of the company’s engineering work.
- • Translate complex technical achievements—such as system architecture, scalability solutions, and payment infrastructure innovations—into compelling, accurate narratives that resonate with expert engineers globally.
- • Identify, research, and develop high-impact technical stories from within engineering projects, proactively uncovering content opportunities without waiting for assigned topics.
- • Craft and edit long-form technical articles, blog posts, and case studies that maintain technical integrity while being accessible and engaging to professional engineering audiences.
- • Prepare and submit conference talk abstracts for top-tier technical events, ensuring alignment with engineering priorities and company messaging, with a goal of securing accepted submissions.
- • Collaborate directly with software engineers, data engineers, and infrastructure teams to understand technical details, validate accuracy, and extract authentic insights for content.
- • Work with creative and production teams to develop video scripts, demo reels, and multimedia content that showcase engineering milestones and product capabilities.
- • Build and nurture relationships with global developer communities through authentic engagement, including open source contributions, forum participation, and technical discussions.
- • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously across deadlines, maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness in a fully remote, asynchronous work environment.
- • Represent Moniepoint at virtual and in-person engineering events, acting as a credible peer and ambassador who speaks the language of engineers.
- • Ensure all technical communications reflect the scale and impact of Moniepoint’s platform, which processes over $250 billion in annual digital payment transactions and powers most of Nigeria’s POS transactions.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of fintech infrastructure, distributed systems, and high-volume transaction processing environments to accurately contextualize engineering work.
- • Uphold the credibility of Moniepoint’s engineering brand by avoiding oversimplification, ensuring technical precision, and earning trust through authentic storytelling.

- • Background in software engineering or computer science with professional experience writing code
- • Experience working in a fintech, infrastructure, or high-scale engineering environment
- • Exceptional writing skills with ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and compellingly without oversimplifying
- • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fully remote setting
- • Instinct to proactively identify and pursue compelling technical stories rather than waiting for assignments
- • Genuine understanding of what makes technical content credible and respected in global engineering communities
