📋 Description

• Develop and maintain high-quality demos and sample applications that demonstrate best practices for building with Codex, frontier models like GPT-5.5 and GPT-Image-2, multimodal capabilities, and AI agents.
• Create technical content including tutorials, blog posts, instructional videos, and code samples to educate and inspire global developers on OpenAI’s APIs, tools, and products.
• Engage directly with developers and technical founders across APAC to demonstrate effective use of OpenAI’s platform, share coding best practices, and build community around AI-native application development.
• Represent OpenAI at developer conferences, hackathons, meetups, and online forums as a knowledgeable, approachable advocate for developers using OpenAI’s tools.
• Collect, synthesize, and communicate developer feedback to product, engineering, and research teams to influence and improve the roadmap for Codex and other developer-facing products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and go-to-market teams to ensure seamless onboarding, API integration, and production deployment experiences for developers.
• Contribute directly to the refinement of OpenAI’s developer interfaces, APIs, and developer tooling based on real-world usage patterns and community input.
• Own end-to-end resolution of developer experience challenges, proactively identifying gaps and developing new skills to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Travel up to 30% of the time across APAC to conduct in-person developer outreach, support local events, and establish and nurture regional developer communities.
• Maintain deep, current fluency in OpenAI’s latest developer products—including Codex, APIs, and frontier models—and translate that knowledge into practical, compelling demos and guidance.
• Foster a vibrant and inclusive developer ecosystem focused on responsible AI use, aligning all content and interactions with OpenAI’s principles of AI safety and ethics.
• Cultivate strong user empathy by designing experiences that developers find intuitive, delightful, and empowering, ensuring accessibility and clarity for both novice and experienced users.
• Continuously ship high-quality, impactful software through coding, iteration, and feedback loops, demonstrating a passion for building and improving developer-facing tools and applications.
• Actively participate in the global and Mandarin-speaking developer communities, tailoring communication, content, and support to meet the needs of Mandarin-speaking technical audiences.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities, competing deadlines, and rapidly advancing AI capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• Robust full-stack engineering background with proven experience building innovative applications using AI and large language models (LLMs)
• Fluency in Mandarin language to support and engage Mandarin-speaking developer communities
• Proven track record of creating engaging technical content, compelling demos, or innovative developer tooling that accelerates technology adoption
• Strong user empathy and deep commitment to delivering delightful, accessible developer experiences
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with rapidly changing priorities
• Alignment with OpenAI’s principles of AI ethics and safety
