• • Champion the builders who are shaping the future of open AI across Europe. As Featherless.ai’s first boots-on-the-ground presence in Paris, you will be the human bridge between our ultra-reliable open-model inference platform and the students, researchers, indie hackers, and pre-seed founders who rely on it. Every day you will answer questions in Discord, jump on Zoom with a PhD candidate in Zurich, or sprint through a 48-hour hackathon in Berlin—always with the goal of turning curiosity into production deployments.
• • Own the end-to-end developer journey for new Featherless users. You will write concise “getting-started” notebooks, spin up lightweight React front-ends that call our REST endpoints, and package everything into GitHub templates so the next builder can ship in minutes, not hours. When something breaks, you open the browser dev-tools, reproduce the bug, and either patch the example or file a crisp ticket for the infra team.
• • Grow the Featherless ecosystem through deliberate, measurable outreach. Map every university AI lab, student club, and early-stage accelerator from Lisbon to Tallinn; build relationships with organizers; and secure Featherless sponsorships or workshop slots. Track funnel metrics—sign-ups, active projects, GPU hours—so we know which communities deliver outsized impact.
• • Represent Featherless on stage and on camera. Whether you’re giving a 10-minute lightning talk at Station F, judging a demo day in Munich, or live-streaming a “Deploy Llama-3 in 5 minutes” tutorial, you will embody our brand: technical depth, radical openness, and relentless reliability. After each event you’ll debrief with the founders, packaging attendee feedback into actionable product insights.
• • Surface the voice of the developer community inside Featherless. Aggregate Discord pain-points, feature requests, and wild ideas into weekly “Voice of the Builder” reports that directly influence roadmap prioritization. When a researcher in Amsterdam asks for speculative decoding, you’ll test the alpha, write a short benchmark report, and shepherd the feature to general availability.
• • Ship micro-products that showcase what open models can do. One week you might fine-tune a French-language LoRA on Mistral-7B and wrap it in a Streamlit chat UI; the next you’ll fork LangChain to add Featherless as a first-class LLM provider and open a PR. Each artifact is both a learning tool for the community and a proof-point for prospective enterprise customers.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with founders, infra engineers, and GTM leads. You’ll sit in sprint demos, translate technical trade-offs into plain English for our BD team, and occasionally jump into the infra repo to add a new endpoint or improve cold-start latency. Your work spans engineering, product, and community—perfect training for a future founder or senior DevRel lead.
• • Travel across Europe to hackathons, conferences, and partner offices. Expect 1-2 trips per month—from ETH Zurich’s AI Center to VivaTech in Paris—expensed and planned so you can focus on builders, not logistics. You’ll return with new friends, fresh datasets, and a suitcase full of swag.
