Development Program Manager for Freshwater

📋 Description

• • Manage, track, and report on key fundraising data related to the TNC Global Freshwater Program to advance its 2030 freshwater goals, including donor and gift information using the Conservancy’s donor database.
• • Coordinate, align, and communicate fundraising tactics across a global, dispersed, cross-functional team of fundraisers and Freshwater Program Leadership to ensure strategic resourcing alignment.
• • Serve as a liaison between Global Freshwater Leadership, fundraising teams, and other Conservancy chapters and programs to identify and pursue freshwater funding opportunities in the U.S. and internationally.
• • Analyze organizational data to provide advice, recommendations, and actionable insights that support the defined freshwater fundraising plan and improve resource mobilization.
• • Design and implement communications, training initiatives, and documentation to enhance team capacity and standardize processes in fundraising operations, development research, and reporting.
• • Oversee prospect management, stewardship coordination, and tracking of fundraising initiatives to ensure timely and accurate execution across multiple priorities.
• • Collaborate with Global Development Operations and other internal teams to maintain awareness of major funding needs, resolve operational issues, and direct critical questions appropriately.
• • Stay current on market trends and industry best practices in fundraising operations to continuously improve systems, tools, and service delivery.
• • Evaluate complex situations, assess alternatives, and implement solutions to increase the effectiveness of fundraising coordination and reporting processes.
• • Support internal alignment of agreements and initiatives related to freshwater-focused programs, geographies, and joint efforts across the organization.
• • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to represent fundraising operational needs and ensure transparent communication of priorities and constraints.
• • Perform complex analysis of donor and gift data to generate reports, visualize trends, and present findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• • Proactively identify gaps in fundraising systems and processes, and lead efforts to enhance or streamline tools used by the team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• • Work across Conservancy chapters and global business units to explore synergies and expand freshwater funding pipelines through coordinated fundraising strategies.
• • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with organizational protocols.
• • Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational infrastructure supporting freshwater-related fundraising, including reporting dashboards, tracking templates, and training materials.
