You will be instrumental in designing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, establishing comprehensive testing frameworks, and ensuring the unwavering reliability of our cloud-native applications and infrastructure across diverse cloud environments.
• • Your Impact will be twofold, with a significant focus on both DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure and Quality Assurance Automation:
• • DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure (50% of your focus):
• • Architect, build, optimize, and meticulously maintain scalable, resilient, and efficient CI/CD pipelines. You will leverage and potentially introduce best-in-class tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD to ensure seamless and rapid software delivery.
• • Expertly manage and provision cloud infrastructure across major providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. This will involve extensive use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, including Terraform, Pulumi, and CloudFormation, to ensure consistency, repeatability, and version control of our infrastructure.
• • Automate the deployment and management of applications using containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. You will also explore and implement serverless architectures where appropriate, optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability.
• • Implement and manage comprehensive observability solutions. This includes setting up and configuring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to provide deep insights into system performance, health, and potential issues, enabling proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.
• • Champion security best practices throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, from code to deployment, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
• • Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance our cloud infrastructure's efficiency, security, and scalability.
• • Quality Assurance (QA) Automation (50% of your focus):
• • Develop, implement, and rigorously maintain automated test suites to ensure the quality and stability of our software. You will work with leading frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and utilize API testing tools like Postman.
• • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all levels of the testing pyramid, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end (E2E) tests, seamlessly integrating these into our CI/CD workflows.
• • Foster a strong collaboration with development teams to promote a 'shift-left' testing culture, encouraging early detection of defects and improving overall code quality and maintainability.
• • Analyze complex test results, meticulously track defects, and work towards optimizing application performance through load and stress testing using tools like JMeter and k6.
• • Design and implement strategies for automated regression testing, ensuring that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• • Contribute to the development of QA strategies and best practices, driving continuous improvement in our testing processes and methodologies.
• • Ensure that automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and provide actionable feedback to development teams in a timely manner.
• • Explore and implement advanced testing techniques, such as chaos engineering, to proactively identify system weaknesses and improve resilience.
