Our mission is to empower software engineers to confidently develop and operate complex, multi-party systems. You will collaborate closely with our talented software engineering teams, providing essential support for services that manage infrastructure and deployment pipelines. A significant aspect of this role involves leading a strategic transition from traditional Linux environments to cutting-edge Nix-based systems, including NixOS. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives on working across diverse systems, tooling, and developer experience, with a deep appreciation for correctness, clarity, and long-term maintainability.
• • Your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical functions:
• • Design, build, and meticulously maintain the underlying infrastructure and deployment pipelines that power our applications. This includes ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• • Provide expert support and actively evolve our Linux-based systems. A key focus will be on facilitating and guiding the transition towards Nix and NixOS, establishing reproducible build environments that enhance consistency and reduce errors.
• • Develop, implement, and manage sophisticated CI/CD pipelines tailored for our Scala- and TypeScript-based services, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
• • Forge strong partnerships with software engineers. Your collaboration will be crucial in enhancing developer environments, refining build and release workflows, improving observability, bolstering reliability, and optimizing operational tooling.
• • Take ownership of operating and supporting our production systems. This involves a relentless focus on maintaining high levels of reliability, security, and auditability, ensuring our services are always available and compliant.
• • Play a lead role in standardizing configurations, tooling, and environments across both development and production stages, promoting consistency and reducing operational overhead.
