• • As a DevOps Engineer II, you will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering environment, collaborating closely with developers, SREs, and fellow DevOps engineers. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, highly available, and secure AWS production systems that underpin our critical Loyalty and Data platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to be creative, learn cutting-edge technologies, and solve complex engineering challenges while directly contributing to significant business objectives.
• • You will be entrusted with immense responsibility and autonomy, operating in a culture of trust where silos are actively dismantled. This means you'll have the chance to make a tangible impact across the entire lifecycle of our services, from inception and design through to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
• • Key responsibilities include ensuring the optimal availability, performance, security, and scalability of our AWS production environments. You will be instrumental in scaling our systems and services through the strategic implementation of continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, and agile refactoring methodologies.
• • Once projects are live, your role will extend to maintaining these services by diligently monitoring and measuring key performance indicators such as availability, latency, and overall system and application health. This proactive approach ensures the reliability and efficiency of the platforms that serve some of the world's largest brands.
• • You will be responsible for writing and maintaining the software that powers our infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, efficient, and meets the evolving needs of our business. This includes developing and deploying systems for comprehensive metrics, logging, and monitoring across our platform, providing deep insights into system behavior and performance.
• • In this role, you will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for Level 2 and higher escalations, ensuring rapid response and resolution to critical incidents. Following any incident, you will be expected to conduct thorough, blameless Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and post-mortems to identify systemic issues and implement preventative measures.
• • A strong emphasis will be placed on implementing and adhering to proper security controls and processes, safeguarding our systems and data. You will also be expected to provide valuable recommendations for architectural improvements and process enhancements, contributing to the continuous evolution of our DevOps practices.
