• • AnaVation LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, testing, certifying, operating, and maintaining cutting-edge DevSecOps infrastructure tools. This critical role supports a mission-critical enterprise environment, demanding a proactive and expert approach to ensure the seamless operation of complex systems.
• • As a DevOps Engineer SME, you will be instrumental in supporting the primary Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team for multiple enterprise platforms. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving intricate interoperability issues, diligently performing essential patching and upgrades, and fundamentally ensuring the unwavering reliability, robust security, and paramount resiliency of the infrastructure that underpins our broader technological ecosystem.
• • The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building and managing infrastructure within cloud environments, with a strong preference for Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be an expert in architecting, deploying, and meticulously maintaining Kubernetes clusters, with a particular emphasis on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). This role necessitates a profound understanding and hands-on proficiency across both Linux and Windows operating systems, ensuring comprehensive support for diverse environments.
• • Furthermore, you will leverage your hands-on experience in integrating and supporting core DevOps tools. This includes, but is not limited to, Git for version control, GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and Artifactory for artifact management. Your ability to effectively manage these tools will be key to streamlining development and deployment workflows.
• • Candidates are expected to be well-versed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You will have demonstrable experience running and maintaining tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning, Ansible for configuration management, and Python-based automation scripts to enhance consistency, scalability, and security across all deployments.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to architecting, designing, deploying, testing, certifying, and operating complex DevSecOps infrastructure tools within Top Secret enclaves. This requires a deep understanding of secure development practices and the ability to implement them within highly sensitive environments.
• • You will be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving complex interoperability issues that may arise across various operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. This demands a keen analytical mind and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
• • The role involves deploying and configuring services using Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers, ensuring efficient resource utilization and scalability.
• • You will be responsible for configuring and managing Linux-based servers to robustly support dynamic web applications, ensuring their optimal performance and availability.
• • Debugging and supporting cluster-based computing architectures will be a core function, requiring expertise in distributed systems and their management.
• • A significant part of the role includes the installation, configuration, and maintenance of open-source monitoring and observability tools, providing critical insights into system health and performance.
• • You will actively partner with development and security teams to ensure that CI/CD pipelines are not only efficient but also strictly align with the most current and effective DevSecOps best practices, fostering a culture of security throughout the development lifecycle.
• • Utilizing scripting and programming languages, such as Bash and Python, will be essential for automating deployments, enhancing system reliability, and developing custom solutions to operational challenges.
• • Active participation in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities is expected, contributing to the collaborative and iterative nature of our development processes.
• • You will provide essential support for a multi-enclave environment, encompassing Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret levels, demonstrating adaptability and adherence to stringent security protocols.
