- • The Diagnostics Solutions Consultant is a field-based sales role responsible for selling Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, and services within an assigned territory in the San Francisco Bay Area, driving customer acquisition and retention to meet sales quotas.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include traveling to customer sites (3-4 existing and 3-4 new prospects daily), demonstrating equipment, documenting interactions in CRM systems, transporting and setting up diagnostic tools, explaining product value propositions, securing purchase orders, and providing ongoing technical and product support.
- • The role operates within Zoetis’ diagnostics business, collaborating with technical specialists and cross-functional teams to enhance customer utilization and support business goals, with up to 60-70% travel required.
- • The consultant will develop deep expertise in veterinary diagnostics, refine technical sales skills, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to market growth by placing instruments in competitive and academic settings while supporting billing and collection efforts.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated sales experience or relevant technical/clinical experience in medical, scientific, or healthcare industry
- • Minimum of an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) with science or business emphasis or equivalent experience
- • Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and auto insurance; ability to safely lift and move 60 lbs
- • Demonstrated skills selling capital equipment in physician and/or veterinary clinics
- • Proficiency in veterinary terminology/science and ability to make financial and technical presentations at all levels
- • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, and multitasking skills with ability to work independently
