📋 Description

• The Ophthalmology Account Director (OAD) will represent Regeneron’s entire ophthalmology product portfolio, serving as a critical liaison between key business decision-makers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and internal stakeholders including Market Access, Brand, and Executive leadership teams.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include driving customer-facing engagement (75% of time), maximizing executive reach and frequency, educating customers on GPO contracts, conducting quarterly business reviews, delivering contract performance updates, seeking customer feedback, and collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Reimbursement teams to execute account plans across assigned geography (AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, TX, TN, VA).
• The role operates within Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leading biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and commercializing innovative medicines for serious diseases, with a strong emphasis on ophthalmology and retinal therapeutics.
• The OAD will develop expertise in strategic account management, contract negotiation, healthcare reimbursement dynamics, and cross-functional influence, while gaining deep exposure to specialty pharmaceutical launches, GPO contracting, and executive-level stakeholder engagement in the ophthalmology space.

🎯 Requirements

• 10-12 years of progressive industry or relevant professional experience
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech or related experience
• Previous experience launching new Specialty Pharmaceutical/Biologics products or indications
• Proven knowledge and relationships with Executive-level decision makers from retina and other market GPOs and institutional trade partners
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and influence peers and management, including strong presentation, negotiation, and content development skills
• Ability to travel 50-75%, including weekends as necessary
