  • • As Director of Advisory Services at Premier Inc., you will lead high-impact consulting engagements that drive performance improvement across healthcare organizations, directly influencing operational efficiency, financial outcomes, and patient care quality through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • • You will execute and oversee end-to-end project delivery, including conducting client interviews, analyzing complex healthcare data (financial, operational, clinical), developing evidence-based solutions, managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring quality assurance of deliverables, and presenting findings to executive stakeholders including physicians, administrators, and board members.
  • • You will mentor and develop junior consultants and analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment by providing coaching, sharing subject matter expertise, and guiding skill development in healthcare analytics, process improvement, and client engagement.
  • • You will actively contribute to business development by identifying add-on sales opportunities, participating in RFP responses, supporting proposal development, and representing Premier at client meetings and industry events to expand the Advisory practice’s footprint.
  • • You will ensure adherence to utilization targets, manage project profitability, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with Premier’s internal methodologies and external healthcare standards while continuously improving service delivery through feedback loops and post-engagement reviews.
  • • You will participate in ongoing professional development, complete required training, and contribute to practice-wide knowledge sharing by helping develop training materials, leading internal workshops, and staying current on Premier’s proprietary technologies and healthcare industry trends.
  • • You will operate in a fully remote role with significant travel (81-100% within the U.S.), requiring adaptability, strong self-management, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, client-facing environments while maintaining Premier’s commitment to excellence, ethics, and innovation in healthcare consulting.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum 7+ years of applicable experience in healthcare consulting, health systems finance, operations (clinical or administrative), strategic planning, or decision support analytics
  • • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, RN or other clinical professional license, PMP, or Lean certification preferred
  • • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project budgets and timelines, oversee data analysis and quality assurance, and deliver compelling verbal and written presentations to C-suite and clinical stakeholders
