- • Lead and scale OpenAI’s global AI Deployment Management (ADM) organization, overseeing three core teams: Builder ADM (Codex and builder workflows), Core ADM (foundational customer workflows and platform adoption), and Pilot ADM (early-stage deployments, experimentation, and scaled onboarding).
- • Define and continuously refine the long-term strategy, operating model, and vision for ADM to align with OpenAI’s business objectives and evolving customer needs across enterprise markets.
- • Direct second-line managers and multidisciplinary teams responsible for technical deployment, customer operationalization, and adoption of OpenAI technologies in real-world workflows.
- • Ensure customers successfully deploy, operationalize, and expand their use of OpenAI products through repeatable deployment frameworks, scalable engagement models, and standardized processes.
- • Design and implement scalable operational systems including tooling, metrics, reporting frameworks, and governance models to improve deployment quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- • Establish clear operational KPIs and mechanisms to measure deployment effectiveness, customer outcomes, and organizational performance across global markets.
- • Collaborate closely with GTM, Product, Engineering, Research, Customer Success, and Technical Success leadership to align deployment strategies with product evolution and customer feedback.
- • Serve as a key escalation point and strategic advisor for complex enterprise deployments, advocating for customer needs and operational insights across the organization.
- • Champion safe, ethical, and responsible AI adoption by ensuring deployment practices align with OpenAI’s commitment to safety and human-centered AI principles.
- • Partner with leadership to evolve OpenAI’s broader Customer Success and Technical Success organizations, defining career paths, organizational structures, and operational maturity frameworks.
- • Build a high-performance culture centered on operational rigor, customer impact, scalability, and continuous improvement across all ADM teams.
- • Use data and operational insights to drive strategic decisions, prioritize investments, identify bottlenecks, and optimize deployment workflows.
- • Develop strong leadership bench strength by mentoring and cultivating management talent across Builder, Core, and Pilot ADM teams.
- • Establish communication rhythms and alignment mechanisms with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution and organizational clarity.
- • Analyze deployment data, customer feedback, adoption patterns, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities and deliver early wins within the first 90 days.
- • Scale the ADM organization to support significant customer and revenue growth while maintaining a consistently high-quality customer experience.
- • Help shape the evolution of OpenAI’s broader Customer Success and Technical Success operating models through organizational transformation and change management.
- • Represent the voice of the customer in product and engineering discussions, ensuring deployment learnings directly influence roadmap priorities and product direction.
- • Maintain deep understanding of enterprise AI deployment workflows, platform technologies, and technical customer engagement models to guide strategic decisions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record of building and leading large-scale, customer-facing technical organizations through periods of rapid growth and organizational scale.
- • Experience managing second-line leaders and overseeing multidisciplinary teams in technical deployment, customer success, solutions architecture, or technical account management functions.
- • Strong operational leadership experience designing scalable systems, processes, tooling, and metrics for customer deployment and adoption motions.
- • Deep understanding of enterprise AI deployment workflows, platform technologies, and technical customer engagement models.
- • Demonstrated ability to lead globally distributed organizations and align cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, GTM, and executive stakeholders.
- • Exceptional leadership presence and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
