📋 Description

  • As the Director of Business Development at Care Access, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare by driving significant growth for our organization. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a proven ability to forge strong, lasting relationships within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries, as well as with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  • You will be the architect of customized solutions, meticulously tailoring our offerings to meet the unique needs of each customer and the specific requirements of diverse study protocols. This requires a deep understanding of the Care Access Global Site Network and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles with finesse and expertise.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, expanding our reach and impact. This involves proactive market research, identifying potential clients, and initiating contact to introduce Care Access's unique value proposition.
  • You will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining robust relationships with both new and existing clients. This involves understanding their evolving needs, providing them with comprehensive information about Care Access's capabilities, and acting as their trusted advisor.
  • A key aspect of this role is managing the entire sales cycle for small to mid-sized client engagements. This includes lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for the client.
  • You will be tasked with developing strategic partnerships and business relationships that foster mutual growth and align with Care Access's mission to make healthcare better and more accessible for all.
  • Driving the sales process forward is paramount. You will ensure that all critical tasks and deliverables are managed efficiently and completed in a timely manner, maintaining momentum and exceeding client expectations.
  • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with various internal Care Access departments, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and finance, to gather necessary information, develop compelling proposals, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • You will serve as a knowledgeable resource, educating new and existing customers about the breadth and depth of Care Access's services, including our extensive global site network, mobile clinics, and innovative research programs like 'Future of Medicine' and 'Difference Makers'.
  • A critical element of your success will be your ability to embody and promote the high ethical standards and mission-driven culture of Care Access. You will represent the company with integrity and a genuine commitment to improving health outcomes.
  • This role requires a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit, unafraid to identify challenges and develop creative solutions. You will be empowered to take ownership of your territory and drive results independently, while also being a supportive team player.
  • You will contribute to the overall growth strategy of Care Access by providing market insights, competitive intelligence, and feedback from clients to inform future business development efforts.

🎯 Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the clinical trials industry, ideally in a business development or similar client-facing sales role.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to act as a consultative seller.
  • Demonstrated passion for improving healthcare and a strong desire to contribute to a mission-driven startup environment.
  • Proven leadership qualities, with a proactive, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude and the ability to motivate and influence others.
