  • • Join Perennial Technologies, Inc. as our Director, Carbon Program Implementation, a pivotal role at the forefront of revolutionizing carbon removal verification. We are on a mission to establish soil as one of the planet's most significant carbon sinks, and you will be instrumental in bringing this vision to life by developing and executing robust carbon removal programs.
  • • At Perennial, we are building the world's leading verification platform for soil-based carbon removal. Our innovative approach leverages advanced remote measurement technology, combining machine learning, ground observations, and satellite data to accurately map soil carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas emissions at continental scales. This cutting-edge technology is not only driving the future of climate-smart agriculture but also empowering the food supply chain to achieve significant decarbonization.
  • • As the Director, Carbon Program Implementation, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and successful execution of our carbon removal programs. This involves translating our scientific and technological capabilities into tangible, scalable, and impactful programs that deliver verifiable carbon removal credits.
  • • You will play a critical role in defining the operational frameworks for our carbon programs, ensuring they align with our rigorous verification standards and meet the evolving demands of the carbon market. This includes designing program workflows, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and overseeing the end-to-end implementation process from farmer engagement to credit issuance.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve collaborating closely with our science, technology, and market teams to ensure seamless integration of our measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) methodologies into program design. You will be the bridge between our innovative technology and its practical application in real-world agricultural settings.
  • • You will lead the development of methodologies and protocols for farmer onboarding, data collection, and program participation, ensuring ease of use and maximum engagement for agricultural producers. This requires a deep understanding of agricultural practices and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to managing relationships with key stakeholders, including agricultural partners, project developers, and potentially regulatory bodies, fostering trust and ensuring program integrity.
  • • You will be tasked with identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with program implementation, ensuring the reliability and credibility of our carbon removal projects.
  • • This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong operational mindset, capable of managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. You will be responsible for setting ambitious yet achievable goals for program growth and impact, driving continuous improvement in our implementation processes.
  • • You will contribute to the development of Perennial's long-term strategy for carbon program expansion, identifying new opportunities and markets for our soil-based carbon removal solutions.
  • • Working within a mission-driven and highly collaborative environment, you will be part of a diverse team with expertise spanning science, technology, carbon markets, and agriculture. Your contributions will directly impact the company's ability to scale its operations and achieve its ambitious climate goals.
  • • Perennial is a venture-backed company supported by leading investors such as Temasek, Bloomberg, Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund, SineWave Ventures, Alumni Ventures Group, and Collaborative Fund, providing a strong foundation for growth and innovation.
  • • This is a fully flexible remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere, with our headquarters based in Boulder, CO USA.
  • • You will be at the forefront of a rapidly growing and critically important sector, helping to build the infrastructure for a sustainable future and making a tangible difference in the fight against climate change.
  • • Your leadership will be crucial in scaling our programs, ensuring the integrity of every ton of carbon removed, and solidifying Perennial's position as a global leader in soil carbon verification.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of carbon markets and contribute to a more sustainable agricultural system, driving both environmental and economic benefits.
  • • You will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of carbon projects, from initial design and farmer outreach to ongoing monitoring and verification, ensuring adherence to Perennial's high standards.
  • • Develop and refine program frameworks that are scalable, efficient, and scientifically sound, ensuring the integrity of carbon sequestration claims.
  • • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure our technology solutions effectively support program implementation and data management.
  • • Drive the successful onboarding and ongoing support of agricultural participants, fostering strong relationships and ensuring program compliance.
  • • Analyze program performance data to identify areas for improvement and innovation, continuously optimizing our implementation strategies.
  • • Stay abreast of the latest developments in carbon accounting methodologies, agricultural practices, and climate policy to inform program design and execution.
  • • Champion Perennial's mission and values, both internally and externally, building trust and credibility within the agricultural and carbon market communities.
  • • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure the successful and cost-efficient delivery of carbon programs.
  • • Lead and mentor a team of program implementation specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • • Contribute to the development of Perennial's go-to-market strategy for carbon programs, working closely with sales and business development teams.
  • • Ensure that all program activities are conducted with the highest ethical standards and a commitment to transparency and scientific rigor.
  • • You will be a key player in scaling our impact, enabling more farmers to participate in carbon markets and contributing to global climate goals.
  • • This role is ideal for a leader passionate about climate solutions and experienced in program management within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • • Your work will directly contribute to the credibility and growth of the soil carbon market, a critical component of global climate action.
  • • You will be instrumental in operationalizing our innovative technology, making it accessible and beneficial for the agricultural sector.
  • • Ultimately, you will help build a more sustainable and resilient food system for generations to come.

🎯 Requirements
