📋 Description
- • Lead enterprise-wide clinical workflow design and standardization for high-risk processes to ensure safe, reliable, and human-centered care delivery.
- • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and Safety teams to translate lessons from clinical events and performance data into systemic design improvements.
- • Define and monitor reliability thresholds for critical clinical processes to maintain consistent quality and safety outcomes.
- • Partner with IT, facilities, operations, and clinical leaders to review and approve major workflow and technology projects from a safety and reliability perspective.
- • Ensure all clinical design solutions are scalable, sustainable, and fully aligned with enterprise-wide safety, reliability, and performance goals.
- • Integrate human factors and human-centered design principles into every stage of clinical system changes to reduce error and enhance usability.
- • Provide thought leadership and education across the organization on clinical systems design, human factors engineering, and safety engineering practices.
- • Conduct proactive risk assessments and failure analyses to anticipate and mitigate potential clinical system failures.
- • Apply root cause analysis and process mapping techniques to identify systemic issues and implement durable solutions.
- • Utilize data visualization tools to communicate complex clinical system performance metrics to stakeholders at all levels.
- • Design and implement learning systems that capture and disseminate safety insights across clinical teams.
- • Lead safety event investigations to uncover underlying system flaws and drive preventive design changes.
- • Influence and align clinical and operational leaders to adopt standardized, evidence-based workflows.
- • Demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills to bridge gaps between clinical, technical, and operational teams.
- • Exercise strategic thinking to align clinical systems design with long-term organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.
- • Coach and mentor teams on systems thinking, error-proofing, and reliability engineering principles.
- • Manage stakeholder relationships and resolve conflicts to ensure smooth implementation of clinical design initiatives.
