- • The Director, Commercial Development will lead the development and commercialization of targeted business strategies, differentiated service offerings, and operational pricing models to support the expansion of the Integrated Biologics Platform, ensuring sustainable sales growth and profitability aligned with long-term strategic goals.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting the development and launch of business offerings, contributing to commercial strategic plans, providing input to long-range asset optimization, communicating commercial strategy internally, defining pricing and contract frameworks, supporting customer satisfaction efforts, and contributing to competitor intelligence through market and customer feedback analysis.
- • The role is part of Lonza Group Ltd., a global leader in life sciences with 30+ sites across five continents, dedicated to manufacturing medicines of tomorrow through core values of Collaboration, Accountability, Excellence, Passion, and Integrity.
- • The individual will develop expertise in biopharma and CDMO market trends, refine skills in contract negotiation and pricing strategy, influence cross-functional commercial alignment, and drive measurable impact on platform growth and customer satisfaction in a scientifically rigorous, innovation-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a life science-related field
- • Significant experience generating business strategies
- • Strong technical and commercial international background with business experience in the pharmaceutical supply industry, including contract terminology and negotiation
- • Knowledge of mammalian development/IND requirements, CMC activities, commercial launch, and long-term supply
- • Collaborative nature with strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively across teams
- • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal awareness and a proactive approach to understanding and meeting customer needs
