- • Lead the development and maintenance of the organization’s information security program to protect business interests through robust processes and controls
- • Provide strategic direction and planning for the implementation, evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future cybersecurity technologies
- • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, industry standards, and best practices in information security
- • Define, communicate, and enforce corporate policies, procedures, and standards for systems, equipment, software, and other technologies
- • Integrate security requirements into the evaluation, selection, implementation, and configuration of all information technology (hardware, software, applications)
- • Administer security tools and software to ensure optimal protection and operational effectiveness
- • Recommend and implement enhancements to security solutions to resolve vulnerabilities, improve efficiency, and strengthen the organization’s security posture
- • Oversee the design, delivery, and maintenance of a comprehensive security awareness and training program to meet compliance obligations and reduce risk in areas such as Cyber Security and Identity and Access Management
- • Manage vendor relationships and ensure accountability for project deliverables and service-level commitments
- • Identify, assess, and mitigate IT security threats and vulnerabilities to acceptable risk levels
- • Assist in developing and executing remediation plans for newly discovered threats and vulnerabilities
- • Communicate and report on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and oversee the remediation process across teams
- • Publish and analyze metrics that demonstrate the operating effectiveness of information security controls
- • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports; collaborate with HR to conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and career development planning
- • Hire, onboard, and train new cybersecurity staff while providing ongoing technical and personal development guidance
- • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to foster collaboration and alignment
- • Maintain a deep understanding of technology environments including information security, building security, and defense solutions
- • Apply in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to cybersecurity and data protection
- • Set and manage competing priorities effectively while maintaining focus on organizational security objectives
- • Present complex security concepts in business-friendly and user-friendly language to non-technical leadership and stakeholders
- • Demonstrate exceptional self-motivation, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic security landscape
- • Cultivate a collaborative, team-oriented environment that drives execution and personal excellence
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree or equivalent work experience required; Master’s or JD preferred
- • 10 years of IT-related experience, including 5 years in cybersecurity, identity and access management, or a related specialty
- • 5 years of leadership experience in information security or IT risk management
- • Certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or CISM preferred
- • Proven experience in planning and executing security policies, standards, and technology implementations
- • Strong knowledge of federal/state laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cybersecurity
