đź“‹ Description

  • • Allium Inc. is at the forefront of revolutionizing the financial industry by building the definitive system of record for onchain finance. We are tackling the inherent complexities of blockchain technology, which, despite its strengths like permissionless access and decentralization, presents significant challenges in data interpretation, standardization, and usability at an institutional scale. Our mission is to transform fragmented, difficult-to-interpret blockchain data into a trusted, canonical data layer that institutions can leverage with confidence. This role is critical in scaling our financial operations and strategic planning to support Allium's rapid growth.
  • • As the Director of FP&A, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of Allium. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass owning and evolving the company's operating model, annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial outlook, ensuring these are dynamic tools for strategic decision-making rather than static documents. You will lead the monthly and quarterly FP&A close rhythm, conducting thorough variance analysis, managing rolling reforecasts, and coordinating closely with the Accounting team to ensure financial accuracy and timeliness. A key part of your role will be building and maintaining the headcount plan in collaboration with functional leaders, meticulously linking hiring decisions to business outcomes and demonstrating clear return on investment, thereby moving beyond simple expense forecasting to connecting resourcing directly to tangible results.
  • • You will also be responsible for owning the SaaS metrics stack, including critical indicators such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Net Dollar Retention (NDR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), sales productivity, pipeline velocity, gross margin by product line, and burn multiple. Your objective will be to make these metrics not only trackable but also easily understood and actionable across the entire organization. Furthermore, you will provide the essential analytical support for strategic pricing decisions, complex contract structures, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Given Allium's intricate price book, which spans over 150 blockchain datasets and multiple delivery methods (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), a deep understanding of the underlying unit economics will be paramount. You will also be tasked with building best-in-class Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting and interactive dashboards designed to provide a real-time pulse on the business and drive informed decision-making across all departments. Additionally, you will own the forecasting and detailed analysis of infrastructure spend, including cloud compute, Snowflake, and data delivery costs, working closely with the Engineering team to optimize and manage margins as the platform scales. In partnership with RevOps, you will contribute to sales compensation planning, including the design of compensation plans, SPIFFs, and quota structures, while also owning the administration and analytics of commission processing.
  • • You will work in close collaboration with the Accounting department to ensure the integrity of the company's financials, facilitating a seamless handoff between the financial close process and forward-looking analytical activities. Beyond internal operations, you will prepare comprehensive financial materials for crucial external stakeholders, including board meetings, investor updates, and fundraising processes. This involves not only presenting the numbers but also crafting a compelling financial narrative that succinctly and confidently communicates Allium's story and potential. You will also manage the data room and financial due diligence workflows in preparation for future funding rounds. A significant aspect of your role will involve automating and systematizing FP&A workflows, aiming to eliminate reconciliation friction and build robust financial infrastructure that compounds in efficiency and value as the company continues its rapid expansion.
  • • Allium is building the foundational infrastructure for the future of onchain finance, serving a diverse range of users including Finance, Accounting, and Risk Teams who require audit-grade data for reporting and compliance; Engineers and Product Teams who need low-latency, production-ready infrastructure for applications like wallets and trading systems; and Strategy, Research, and Executive Teams seeking clarity on ecosystem economics and market dynamics. Our customers include industry leaders such as Visa, Stripe, G-SIB Banks, Big 4 Accounting firms, BCG, Coinbase, and Phantom, and our work is cited by the Federal Reserve.
  • • In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to build and scale a critical finance function from the ground up in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B SaaS environment. You will gain deep expertise in usage-based and enterprise SaaS economics, develop a sophisticated understanding of data infrastructure costs, and become proficient in leveraging AI tools to enhance financial operations. You will directly influence leadership's capital allocation, performance evaluation, and strategic storytelling, bringing analytical rigor and financial clarity to a rapidly evolving business. This position offers significant autonomy and the chance to define best practices in financial planning and analysis for a company at the cutting edge of blockchain technology and institutional finance.
