  • • The Director, Global Pharmacovigilance (PV) Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the global PV Operations function at GE Healthcare Pharmaceutical Diagnostics, ensuring end-to-end safety data quality and continuous inspection readiness.
  • • The role defines and executes PV operational strategy, optimizes and modernizes PV processes and systems, and leads collaboration with the Global Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance organization to prioritize efficiency, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing strategic direction for global PV operations across US, EMEA, APAC, and Japan; ensuring compliant PV systems for collection, evaluation, and submission of safety reports; collaborating with PV QA and EU/UK QPPV on SOPs, CAPA, and quality documentation; overseeing vendor management for case management activities; owning PV operational budgets, purchase orders, and invoices; driving process optimization, standardization, and digital innovation; embracing LEAN methodologies through metrics and dashboards; serving as spokesperson for PV Operations in cross-functional teams; leading change and continuous improvement initiatives; and partnering with Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, Quality, Legal, IT, and Commercial teams.
  • • The role sits within the Global Pharmacovigilance leadership team at GE Healthcare, a global leader in medical technology and pharmaceutical diagnostics, influencing department strategy and operations while ensuring adherence to FDA, EU, ICH, and Japan pharmacovigilance regulations.
  • • The position offers the opportunity to lead large-scale global PV operations, drive innovation in safety systems, develop executive-level stakeholder engagement skills, and shape best-in-class pharmacovigilance practices through benchmarking and continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Healthcare Professional (RN/BSN, PharmD, MD, etc.) or Degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Business, or Analytics
  • • Minimum 10 years’ experience in PV Operations with substantial global PV Operations leadership (people, vendor, and systems)
  • • Expert knowledge of FDA and EU legislation, ICH PV Guidelines, and MedDRA; knowledge of Japan PV regulations
  • • Experience with regulatory inspections and audits (FDA/MHRA/EMA/Health Canada)
  • • Strong operational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines and lead global projects
  • • Excellent communication skills with executive presence; ability to engage regulators and senior stakeholders
