đź“‹ Description
- • As Director, Industry Intelligence & Editorial at Neara Inc., you will serve as the strategic storytelling authority shaping how risk and resilience conversations evolve around critical infrastructure, translating complex regulatory, climate, and policy shifts into compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making and sales momentum.
- • You will detect industry inflection points by synthesizing regulatory changes, policy developments, and social pressures, then operationalize insights across Sales, Product, and GTM teams through briefings, signal logs, and strategic framing to align internal strategy with external realities.
- • You will partner with Product Marketing to co-develop narrative themes and editorial calendars that reinforce Neara’s market leadership, ensuring messaging is backed by product substance and resonates with senior utility and infrastructure leaders.
- • You will produce high-impact, evidence-based editorial content — including POV briefs, videos, and social posts — that avoids promotional tone while establishing Neara as a trusted voice in energy transition and grid resilience discussions.
- • You will equip customer-facing teams with executive-level narratives that strengthen credibility in sales conversations, stress-test positioning against market sentiment, and rally cross-functional teams around shared storytelling frameworks.
- • You will join a mission-driven team of engineers, data scientists, and innovators building physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents to help utilities prepare for extreme weather and structural stress.
- • You will work in a meritocratic, low-ego culture that values ownership, innovation, and real-world impact, with direct influence on company trajectory and category perception in the energy transition landscape.
- • You will grow your expertise in infrastructure, energy policy, and AI-driven engineering while shaping how one of the most innovative climate tech companies communicates its value to global stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in communications, editorial, or journalism at a technology company in a regulated industry or with deep energy/infrastructure domain expertise
- • Exceptional writing and editing skills to craft authoritative, evidence-based narratives that engage senior business and technical decision-makers without sounding promotional
- • Ability to translate complex technical subjects (e.g., rate cases, regulatory filings, technical papers) into clear, credible, and actionable insights for business audiences
- • Proven skill in identifying emerging industry trends before they become mainstream and translating them into strategic narratives
- • Experience building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media outlets as a trusted source in energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors
- • Demonstrated ability to partner with product, sales, and GTM teams to align storytelling with product strategy and market positioning
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary + ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)
- • Significant career development and growth opportunities in a high-growth climate tech company
- • Highly meritocratic, non-bureaucratic, and low ego work culture that values ownership and innovation
- • Opportunity to work on complex, meaningful products addressing real-world challenges in grid resilience and energy transition
- • Direct, critical role in shaping the trajectory and market perception of a fast-growing technology company
