📋 Description
- • The Director, Medical Science Liaison – Respiratory US leads non-promotional scientific engagement with healthcare professionals to support Viatris’ respiratory portfolio through evidence-based communication and strategic collaboration.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing stakeholder engagement plans, identifying and engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), delivering scientific presentations, documenting interactions in VEEVA, responding to unsolicited medical requests, and creating innovative medical education materials.
- • The role operates within Viatris Specialty LLC, a global healthcare company dedicated to expanding access to high-quality medicines for approximately 1 billion patients annually, with a mission to empower healthier lives across all stages of life.
- • The position offers opportunities to develop strategic leadership, deepen respiratory therapeutic expertise, influence medical affairs strategy through KOL insights, and gain experience in cross-functional collaboration with commercial, research, and regulatory teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DO) required; combination of experience and education considered
- • Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical settings; respiratory experience preferred
- • Must reside in and be able to travel within the designated Northeast corridor (NY, NJ, DC, MD, DE, PA, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME); preference for home base in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, or DC
- • Ability to travel 75–80% of the time, including overnight and weekend travel, with flexibility for changing territories
- • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific data, build relationships with KOLs and external stakeholders, and interpret clinical research
