Director, Network Planning

📋 Description

• • As Director of Network Planning at Zayo Group Holdings, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands while driving innovation and efficiency in a competitive telecommunications landscape.
• • Day to day, you will provide leadership and oversight for all planning groups, drive development of strategic projects including infrastructure build-outs and capability enablement, collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Optimization, NCC, and Product teams to prioritize initiatives, manage roadmaps and capital forecasts, develop and present budget proposals, monitor expenditures, implement network hardening strategies, and continuously evaluate disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• • Zayo provides mission-critical bandwidth to impactful companies across wireless, wireline, media, tech, finance, healthcare, and enterprise sectors, operating a 141,000-mile network in North America and Europe with extensive metro connectivity to thousands of buildings and data centers, delivering solutions including dark fiber, private data networks, wavelengths, Ethernet, and dedicated Internet access.
• • In this role, you will develop expertise in market design and planning, strategic roadmap management, budget approval processes, and network hardening, while strengthening leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and technical proficiency in routing, switching, DWDM, and multi-vendor network hardware environments, positioning you to drive the next era of telecommunications innovation.
