📋 Description
- • As Director of Account Management at Verto Inc., you will lead the strategic function responsible for managing and growing the company’s largest and most critical B2B accounts in the global payments and financial technology space, directly contributing to Verto’s mission of democratizing global finance for businesses in emerging markets.
- • You will transform the Account Management team from a reactive support function into a proactive, commercially-driven engine that drives retention, expansion, and deep customer advocacy across Verto’s strategic portfolio.
- • You will build and own senior-level relationships with C-suite and key decision-makers at Verto’s top accounts, serving as the executive sponsor and escalation point to ensure alignment, trust, and long-term partnership value.
- • You will design and implement scalable account management frameworks, including structured account planning, executive business reviews, health scoring, and risk flagging systems, to shift the team toward outcome-driven performance and predictable revenue growth.
- • You will mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Account Managers, establishing clear career pathways, KPIs focused on retention and expansion, and a culture of accountability, excellence, and customer-centricity.
- • You will partner closely with Product, Operations, and senior leadership to ensure customer insights from strategic accounts directly influence product roadmap, pricing, and service improvements, making the Account Management function the voice of the customer inside Verto.
- • You will own and drive net revenue retention and expansion targets, identifying and executing cross-sell and upsell opportunities through disciplined account planning and market trend analysis.
- • You will establish data-driven reporting on account health, team performance, and portfolio trends, providing leadership with the visibility needed to make informed strategic decisions while maintaining rigorous CRM hygiene and documentation standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B account management or customer success within financial services, payments, or fintech, with a proven track record of managing and growing large, complex enterprise accounts.
- • Demonstrated success in leading and transforming an Account Management team from reactive support to structured, strategic, and commercially-driven ownership.
- • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage C-suite and senior stakeholders both externally at client organizations and internally across Verto.
- • Strong process-building expertise, including designing and embedding account management frameworks, playbooks, operating rhythms, and tooling that have measurably improved team performance and account outcomes.
- • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, scaling environments, comfortable with ambiguity, capable of influencing cross-functionally without authority, and adept at bringing structure and clarity to complex situations.
- • A natural people leader with a track record of building engaged, high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
