- • As Director of Accounting at Suno Inc., you will be a foundational hire building the accounting function from the ground up, serving as the Controller’s right hand and owning the monthly close, consolidations, and general ledger while establishing controls, systems, and technical accounting foundations critical for scaling into a best-in-class finance organization.
- • You will drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation process toward faster, cleaner, and well-documented cycles; build and maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and scalable accounting policies; research and conclude on technical accounting positions with audit-ready documentation; lead the company through its first-year financial statement audit and build toward IPO readiness; design controls, systems, and AI-enabled automation to improve efficiency with measured judgment; and lay the foundation for a best-in-class accounting team across people, process, and systems.
- • You will join Suno Inc., the fastest-growing consumer entertainment company and leader in AI music, backed by top-tier investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, IVP, and NVIDIA’s venture arm, where music creation is democratized for everyone from grandmothers to Grammy winners.
- • In this role, you will grow into a leadership position as the accounting team scales around you, gain deep experience in IPO readiness and audit leadership, shape the technical accounting foundation of a high-growth AI-driven company, and partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, People, and the broader business to set standards for documentation, automation, and operational excellence.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and high-growth industry roles
- • CPA with deep technical US GAAP expertise
- • Proven ownership of the close and consolidation process, ideally across multiple entities or currencies
- • Experience leading external financial statement audits, with first-year audit experience ideal
- • Experience in consumer tech, SaaS, or other high-volume revenue environments
- • Hands-on experience implementing accounting systems, automation, and internal controls, including demonstrated, measured use of AI to unlock efficiency
