đź“‹ Description
- • As Director of Business Operations, Client Optimization at Phil, Inc., you will serve as a strategic analytics leader driving data-informed decisions that directly impact patient access to prescription medications and support the company’s mission to modernize a complex healthcare supply chain. Your work will bridge analytics, strategy, and operations to unlock insights that improve client outcomes, operational efficiency, and product innovation across the B2B2C platform connecting patients, prescribers, pharmacies, and manufacturers.
- • You will lead high-impact analyses that shape company strategy and client decision-making, translating ambiguous business goals into clear data analytics frameworks, interactive dashboards, and visual storytelling tools that empower stakeholders across client success, finance, product, and operations to act with confidence. This role is central to building a culture of data literacy and self-service analytics, ensuring that insights are not only generated but adopted and acted upon at scale.
- • Day to day, you will partner with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, evaluate business trends, and identify data-driven opportunities for operational and product improvements—turning raw data into actionable recommendations that influence pricing, distribution, patient adherence programs, and manufacturer go-to-market strategies. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics projects, from defining KPIs and data requirements to cleansing, modeling, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and reliability for enterprise-wide use.
- • You will mentor and enable teams to leverage analytics independently, driving adoption of self-service tools and fostering a data-driven mindset throughout the organization. By establishing best practices in data governance, visualization, and reporting, you will elevate Phil’s analytical maturity and create scalable systems that support rapid experimentation and iteration in a fast-moving health-tech environment.
- • The Business Operations team at Phil is a collaborative, mission-driven unit focused on optimizing the end-to-end prescription journey through operational excellence and strategic foresight. You will report to the Vice President of Business Operations and work closely with leaders in client success, finance, product, and engineering to align analytics initiatives with company objectives, ensuring that insights translate into measurable improvements in patient outcomes, cost efficiency, and market access for pharmaceutical partners.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare analytics, pharmaceutical market dynamics, and B2B2C platform economics—gaining visibility into how data shapes real-world patient behavior, prescription fulfillment, and therapeutic adherence. You will have the opportunity to shape Phil’s analytics infrastructure from the ground up, influence executive decision-making, and build a legacy of analytical rigor that supports the company’s next phase of growth and innovation in digital health.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 5–10 years of experience in analytics, business strategy, FP&A, consulting, or startup operations
- • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- • Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- • Comfort with ambiguity and solving problems dynamically without well-worn paths
- • Understanding of financial statements (P&L), operational KPIs, and forecasting techniques
