Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As the Director of Compliance at Solace Corporation, you will build and own the systems that ensure high-trust, high-impact patient advocacy at scale in one of the most complex regulatory environments in the country—U.S. healthcare. This role is not a back-office function but a core pillar of how Solace earns and maintains trust with patients, advocates, and partners by translating ambiguous, fragmented federal and state regulations into actionable, scalable systems.
- • You will own compliance end-to-end: designing and implementing Solace’s compliance program across policies, controls, training, monitoring, and reporting; translating HIPAA, Medicare, state-level rules, and payer dynamics into clear processes for advocates and operators; ensuring marketplace integrity for Solace’s network of independent advocates; embedding compliance into product workflows like advocate matching, patient communication, documentation, and claims support; protecting patient trust through rigorous privacy and data handling standards; identifying risks in care coordination, insurance support, and patient interactions; leading internal and external audits and investigations; creating evolving documentation that reflects real operations; defining KPIs and reporting for leadership visibility; overseeing vendor and partner compliance; and implementing automation to scale compliance with business growth.
- • You will join a lean, mission-driven, Series C startup founded in 2022 and backed by top-tier investors including Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Solace is redefining healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates to cut through red tape and improve outcomes—operating with urgency, precision, and heart in a U.S.-based team that values intensity and impact.
- • Reporting directly to the CEO, this role begins as an individual contributor with a clear path to building and leading a compliance team. You will have the opportunity to shape Solace’s compliance foundation from the ground up, influence how a high-growth digital health platform navigates regulatory complexity, and develop deep expertise in healthcare compliance while making a tangible difference in patient trust and safety at scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6–10+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk, Legal, or a related field, ideally in a high-growth environment
- • Experience with HIPAA, Medicare (including Advantage plans), and multi-state regulatory environments
- • Experience working with audits, investigations, and compliance program management
- • Experience in healthcare, digital health, marketplaces, or similarly regulated environments strongly preferred
- • Ability to translate complex healthcare and payer regulations into clear, practical guidance
- • Excellent communication and influence skills to partner across Product, Ops, and external stakeholders while holding a high bar
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to build and lead a compliance function from the ground up at a mission-driven Series C startup backed by top-tier venture capital
- • Direct access to the CEO and influence over how a rapidly growing healthcare platform navigates complex regulatory landscapes
- • Meaningful impact on patient trust and safety by ensuring ethical, compliant operations in high-stakes healthcare interactions
- • Professional growth in a high-intensity, high-learning environment where you’ll do the best work of your life alongside a passionate, purpose-driven team
- • Flexibility to operate in a U.S.-based remote role with the autonomy to design scalable systems in a fast-moving, innovative healthcare technology company
