  • • Simply Protein for Pets (SPFP) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of E-Commerce to spearhead the growth and optimization of our digital retail and marketplace businesses. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be instrumental in driving revenue, enhancing brand presence, and ensuring profitable expansion across key e-commerce channels, with a significant focus on Amazon, Chewy, Walmart.com, and the rapidly evolving TikTok Shop.
  • • As the Director of E-Commerce, you will be the ultimate owner of our digital shelf performance, meticulously managing and enhancing assortment, pricing, availability, content quality, and compliance across all platforms. Your strategic oversight will ensure our brands not only appear competitively but also convert efficiently and scale profitably within each platform's unique ecosystem, adapting to the nuances of each marketplace.
  • • This position demands a player-coach mentality. You will be deeply hands-on in platform management and performance analysis, leveraging data to uncover insights and drive action. Simultaneously, you will expertly coordinate with external agencies, creative partners, and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to ensure seamless execution and achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • • You will operate at the critical intersection of marketing, sales, and operations, translating overarching brand strategy into precise, channel-specific execution plans. This involves developing and implementing data-driven strategies that enhance product velocity, optimize operational efficiency, and deliver sustainable, profitable growth across all digital touchpoints.
  • • A core responsibility will be the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of retail media campaigns across major platforms such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Chewy Ads, and emerging opportunities like TikTok Shop. You will manage agency partners effectively or execute campaigns hands-on, depending on the specific channel's needs and scale, always with a keen eye on Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Total Advertising Cost of Sales (TACoS).
  • • Driving marketplace growth will be a key objective. This will involve a comprehensive approach to listing optimization, developing compelling A+ content, enhancing product detail pages (PDPs), and implementing robust SEO strategies tailored for each platform to maximize visibility and conversion rates.
  • • You will partner closely with our Creative and Brand teams to brief and deploy high-performing marketplace creative assets. This collaborative effort ensures that our brand messaging is consistent, engaging, and optimized for the specific demands of e-commerce environments, supporting new SKU launches with tailored go-to-market plans for each platform.
  • • Staying ahead of the curve is paramount. You will continuously monitor competitive dynamics, analyze pricing pressures, and track category trends across all relevant platforms. This proactive approach allows us to adapt quickly to market shifts and maintain a competitive edge.
  • • Championing innovation is essential. You will explore and test new data analytics tools, emerging technologies, and advanced paid media strategies. This includes rigorously testing new channels, ad formats, and platforms to identify incremental growth opportunities and maintain a cutting-edge approach to digital commerce.
  • • Cultivating a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and the competitive landscape is fundamental to fueling strategic decision-making and driving brand growth. You will leverage these insights to inform product development, marketing strategies, and channel investments.
  • • You will ensure the accurate execution of retailer-specific requirements, content standards, and operational workflows, working closely with Sales and Operations to align inventory levels, sales forecasts, and promotional calendars. This cross-functional collaboration is vital for preventing stock-outs and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • • The role requires strong analytical and financial fluency, including experience in building growth models, forecasting outcomes, and partnering with finance teams to assess ROI and payback periods for various initiatives. This ensures that all e-commerce activities are aligned with the company's financial objectives and contribute positively to the bottom line.
  • • Ultimately, you will be responsible for driving performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) including ROAS, TACoS, Conversion Rate (CVR), revenue growth, and contribution margin, ensuring the profitable and sustainable expansion of Simply Protein for Pets' digital footprint.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • • 7-10 years of experience in growth, performance marketing, or digital revenue leadership, preferably within the pet, CPG, or marketplace-driven consumer goods sectors.
  • • Proven track record of scaling paid acquisition and retention programs with significant budget ownership (minimum 7-figure annual spend).
  • • Deep expertise in performance marketing channels (e.g., social, affiliate, influencer, CRO) and major e-commerce marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Chewy, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop).
  • • Strong analytical and financial fluency, with experience in building growth models, forecasting, and partnering with finance on ROI and payback frameworks.
  • • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
