đź“‹ Description
- • As Director of Finance at Tremendous Inc., you will play a critical role in shaping the financial narrative and operational backbone of a profitable, high-growth fintech platform trusted by 20,000 organizations worldwide. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions, deal structures, and long-term scalability without the distraction of investor theater.
- • Day to day, you will own FP&A by building and maintaining detailed financial models, create compelling external financial stories for partners and acquirers, support deal desk in structuring and pricing complex enterprise deals, drive accurate forecasting and planning, analyze data to uncover trends and inefficiencies, and build out the finance function as the company scales.
- • Tremendous is a fully remote, profitable, bootstrapped company with a high-documentation, low-meeting culture and an employee NPS in the high 80s. The finance team operates with autonomy and impact, serving researchers, marketers, HR teams, nonprofits, and platform businesses that rely on Tremendous for seamless global payouts.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in strategic finance, deal structuring, and startup scalability while building a best-in-class finance function from the ground up. You’ll gain visibility into complex revenue streams, influence high-stakes decisions, and enjoy the freedom to innovate without bureaucratic overhead.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years in investment banking with experience building complex financial models and telling compelling financial stories
- • 4+ years at growth-stage startups, ideally including at least one FinTech, with experience leading finance teams and owning FP&A models
- • Intimate involvement in multiple startup transactions, including at least one $100MM+ investment or acquisition
- • Experience structuring and pricing complex enterprise deals in a B2B context
- • Strong passion for financial modeling, with proficiency in Excel or similar tools and a detail-oriented mindset
- • Proven curiosity and analytical rigor, consistently asking 'why' and 'what if' to drive insights from data
- • Preferred: Experience using Runway for FP&A planning and analysis
- • Low ego, high impact mindset—willing to do hands-on work rather than delegate exclusively
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary of $220,000 to $280,000 plus equity
- • 100% covered health insurance for US-based employees
- • Unlimited PTO and 12-16 weeks of paid parental leave
- • Fully remote work arrangement—work from anywhere in the Americas
- • No board meetings or investor relations distractions due to profitable, bootstrapped status
- • Access to a public handbook detailing a high-autonomy, low-meeting, high-documentation culture
- • Employee NPS in the high 80s, reflecting strong team satisfaction and engagement
