- • The Director of HRIS & Payroll (UKG) is responsible for owning and optimizing the organization’s UKG Pro HCM and Payroll system end-to-end, ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll execution across a rapidly growing multi-state, multi-entity portfolio.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading UKG configuration and architecture, executing bi-weekly payroll for the first six months, transitioning transactional work to offshore teams while retaining final sign-off, managing payroll tax compliance across 40 states, building SOPs and training materials, producing operational dashboards, and leading integration efforts for 10–15 annual acquisitions.

- • The role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise HRIS strategy, gain deep expertise in UKG Pro and multi-state payroll compliance, lead cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Legal, IT, and M&A, and build scalable systems that support rapid organizational growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of direct, hands-on UKG Pro and Workforce Management experience (configuration, administration, integrations, and BI reporting)
- • 10+ years of progressive payroll and HRIS experience
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- • Proven experience operating in multi-state, multi-entity environments
- • Experience in high-growth and/or acquisition-driven organizations, regularly onboarding and integrating large numbers of new employees
