  • • Own and execute Honeydew’s end-to-end organic search strategy, including technical SEO, content architecture, link authority development, and crawlability optimization across dermatology, skincare, and telehealth topics.
  • • Build and scale topical authority frameworks in high-intent, acquisition-driven keyword areas, ensuring content compounds in ranking power over time through consistent optimization and strategic publishing.
  • • Lead large-scale content production cycles: briefing writers, coordinating AI-assisted drafting, editing, publishing, and continuously optimizing for search intent and conversion performance.
  • • Conduct deep competitive analysis and keyword research focused on high-intent patient queries related to cystic acne, rosacea, eczema, and other treatable skin conditions.
  • • Partner with engineering to improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data implementation, canonicalization, indexation, and internal linking architecture to maximize crawl efficiency and ranking potential.
  • • Develop and lead Honeydew’s AI search visibility strategy (AEO/GEO) to increase citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and emerging AI platforms.
  • • Structure content for LLM consumption using passage-level optimization, conversational formatting, semantically rich answer blocks, and clear entity signaling to improve AI citation rates.
  • • Build and own AI citation tracking systems, establish performance baselines, set targets, and iterate on content formats and distribution to maximize visibility across AI search surfaces.
  • • Drive earned media and backlink strategy to strengthen domain authority and off-site signals that LLMs and traditional search engines reward, leveraging content and outreach initiatives.
  • • Stay ahead of emerging trends in agentic AI and ambient search behaviors within healthcare to anticipate shifts in patient discovery patterns.
  • • Partner with the existing paid search lead to align keyword strategy, landing page structure, and messaging across paid and organic channels, ensuring cohesion and efficiency in acquisition efforts.
  • • Contribute strategically to ~$500K+/month in paid search spend on Google and Bing, advising on bid strategy, audience targeting, campaign architecture, and Quality Score optimization.
  • • Design and own a unified search performance dashboard that integrates metrics from organic, AI, and paid search, tying all channels directly to patient signups and revenue outcomes.
  • • Develop a multi-quarter search roadmap with clear priorities, experiments, milestones, and success metrics, and report progress regularly to the Head of Growth and leadership.
  • • Identify cross-channel leverage points: where organic authority reduces paid CPA, where paid search data informs organic keyword targeting, and where AI citations amplify both paid and organic reach.
  • • Run structured, data-driven experiments across search channels to validate hypotheses, optimize performance, and scale winning strategies rapidly.
  • • Translate search performance data into actionable business impact by connecting traffic trends to conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and revenue growth.
  • • Manage and develop individual contributors: set direction, provide feedback, mentor talent, and build a high-performance, long-term search team.
  • • Operate with high autonomy—move decisively without perfect briefs, thrive in ambiguity, and own outcomes end-to-end without reliance on large teams or rigid processes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5–7+ years of search experience with a strong organic SEO foundation and demonstrated track record of driving acquisition growth
  • • Deep technical SEO expertise: site architecture, structured data, Core Web Vitals, crawl management, and schema implementation
  • • Genuine AEO/GEO fluency: experience building strategies for AI search visibility, tracking citation performance, and iterating on results
  • • Working knowledge of paid search: Google Ads, campaign structure, bidding strategy, Quality Score, and performance analysis
  • • Proven ability to manage and develop individual contributors
  • • Proficiency with SEO tooling: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Looker Studio
