  • • Lead and direct the execution of Cengage's Higher Education priority programs, establishing robust Program Management Office (PMO) governance across the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization.
  • • Serve as an executive-facing liaison, instrumental in enabling strategic initiatives like the Ignite program and ensuring alignment and delivery excellence with business partners.
  • • Drive internal operational improvements within Sales, Marketing, and Customer Operations, focusing on GTM motions and enterprise end-state transformation.
  • • Champion process, policy, and controls essential for operational readiness and sustained success.
  • • Spearhead business process design, portfolio oversight, and the clear articulation of requirements to achieve strategic objectives and support continuous transformation.
  • • Develop and implement comprehensive PMO governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all managed programs.
  • • Effectively plan, coordinate, and direct the delivery of large, complex projects and programs, proactively managing risks and issues to minimize impacts on scope, budget, and schedule.
  • • Build, motivate, and hold accountable project teams and internal/external stakeholders within a matrixed organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared accountability.
  • • Manage resource planning and capacity allocation across multiple programs to ensure optimal support for delivery objectives.
  • • Cultivate strong, trusted working relationships with functional leaders and business partners, aligning on vision and business outcomes while adeptly managing expectations regarding scope changes and trade-offs.
  • • Take ownership of program financials, including detailed budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic resource allocation.
  • • Develop and maintain key program performance metrics, dashboards, and comprehensive reporting for executive leadership, providing clear visibility into program status and progress.
  • • Proactively identify, assess, and manage cross-team dependencies and program risks, escalating critical issues to stakeholders for timely and effective resolution.
  • • Act as the primary communicator for programs, translating project-level details into clear, concise, and actionable updates for multiple levels of leadership, including executive sponsors.
  • • Manage other cross-functional programs as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and breadth of expertise.
  • • Build and scale the PMO team as business needs evolve, ensuring the organization has the capacity and capability to support strategic priorities.
  • • Drive business transformation initiatives, leveraging extensive experience in large-scale enterprise transformational projects with a strong focus on operational and strategic change.
  • • Demonstrate a self-starter mentality, capable of navigating ambiguity and establishing appropriate structures to accelerate program delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
  • • Engage stakeholders at the executive level through clear, concise, and impactful communication, employing active listening to understand diverse perspectives and drive consensus.
  • • Influence outcomes and drive decision-making across various organizational levels, building consensus and securing buy-in for strategic initiatives.
  • • Apply knowledge of Salesforce solutions and leverage experience with AI Productivity tools to enhance program management processes and outcomes.
