  • • As Director of Strategic Sales at Clutch Technologies, you will lead and scale the company’s highest-revenue segment by managing a team of 6 Strategic Account Executives responsible for an $18.5M+ collective quota, directly impacting pipeline generation, deal progression, forecast accuracy, and new logo revenue from the nation’s largest credit unions.
  • • You will operate as a player-coach leader who sets the pace through hands-on involvement — co-selling on top deals, conducting rigorous deal inspections, and building a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, urgency, and executive credibility in front of credit union C-suites.
  • • You will lead a high-potential team supported by Sales Engineering, RevOps, Marketing, and a strategic co-sell partnership with TruStage, selling Clutch’s digital lending, account opening, and AI product suite into enterprise financial institutions backed by Andreessen Horowitz and serving 150+ credit union customers.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Directors of Enterprise Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations — all reporting to the VP of GTM and Partnerships — to shape go-to-market strategy, territory design, comp planning, and segment-level plays that define how Clutch wins in the strategic credit union market.
  • • In your first 3 months, you will conduct a full team assessment covering pipeline health, rep performance, deal quality, and territory coverage; establish a weekly operating cadence of pipeline reviews, deal inspections, 1:1 coaching, and forecast calls; build relationships with all active strategic opportunities; and co-sell on the top 5 deals while deeply mastering Clutch’s product suite, competitive landscape, and the credit union buying process.
  • • By month 6, you will drive measurable improvements in pipeline generation, stage progression, and forecast accuracy; implement a rigorous MEDDPIC deal inspection framework with weekly accountability; partner with Marketing and TruStage to build joint pipeline programs targeting top strategic accounts; close at least 2 strategic deals alongside your reps to model the standard; and begin recruiting for any open seats or performance upgrades.
  • • By month 9, you will achieve consistent 3x+ pipeline coverage against quarterly targets; deliver forecasts within 10% variance; establish yourself as the go-to executive sponsor on the largest strategic deals; build a rep development program that accelerates ramp time and raises average attainment; and contribute to GTM strategy through territory design, comp planning, account tiering, and segment-level go-to-market plays.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with at least 3 years in front-line sales management leading a team of 5+ Account Executives selling into enterprise or strategic accounts
  • • Proven track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams that consistently exceed quota
  • • Direct experience managing $15M+ in collective team quota with individual deal sizes of $200K+
  • • Player-coach mentality — ability to run deal reviews and then jump on calls with C-suite executives (e.g., CIOs) to co-sell and close
  • • Deep fluency in enterprise sales methodologies (MEDDPIC, Sandler, Challenger, or similar) with experience embedding them into team operating rhythms
  • • Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and deal inspection discipline — managing by the numbers while preserving the human element
  • • Experience selling into financial institutions, credit unions, or banking technology is strongly preferred
  • • Proven ability to recruit, hire, and retain top sales talent, leveraging a strong network and reputation to attract A-players
  • • Excellent executive presence — credible in front of credit union C-suites and capable of serving as an executive sponsor on strategic deals
  • • High ownership and urgency — setting the pace through personal accountability and visible effort
  • • Willingness to travel 30-40% for prospect meetings, team onsites, industry events, and partner engagements
