  • • Own the operating rhythm for Aurora’s Board of Directors, including managing quarterly board and committee meeting schedules, agendas, pre-reads, and follow-ups.
  • • Build end-to-end board decks in partnership with the Leadership Team, draft CEO updates, and ensure timely, accurate, and executive-level communication to the Board and investors.
  • • Lead corporate development initiatives including sourcing, evaluating, and conducting due diligence on M&A targets and strategic partnerships, building financial models, investment cases, and recommendations.
  • • Partner with Finance, Legal, and functional owners to drive corporate development opportunities from initial evaluation through deal closure and post-merger integration.
  • • Shape company strategy by collaborating directly with the CEO and Leadership Team on strategic narrative, direction, and long-term planning.
  • • Serve as a key voice in internal communications, partnering with the CEO to develop All Hands content, executive messaging, and company-wide announcements to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment.
  • • Drive the highest-priority CEO initiatives by translating broad priorities into structured work streams with clear owners, milestones, and accountability.
  • • Act as a thought partner to the CEO and Leadership Team, bringing rigor, structure, and a clear point of view to critical business questions, proactively identifying risks, and sequencing decisions.
  • • Represent the CEO in internal and external discussions as needed, exercising sound judgment on decision-making authority, escalation paths, and stakeholder engagement.
  • • Travel approximately 15% of the time to Aurora’s San Francisco Bay Area headquarters, customer and partner locations, and industry conferences.
  • • Operate with high autonomy in a high-trust environment as a member of the leadership team with direct exposure to the Board of Directors and investors.
  • • Translate complex, ambiguous business challenges into concise, actionable materials such as one-pagers, board slides, and executive talking points.
  • • Manage multiple concurrent priorities with exceptional organization, ensuring execution excellence across strategic initiatives without sacrificing quality or timing.
  • • Communicate with an executive voice across written and verbal formats, distilling technical or operational details into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • • Maintain a strong focus on execution, driving initiatives from problem identification through to completion with attention to detail and accountability.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years of experience, including a strong foundation at a top-tier management consulting firm (MBB or equivalent) or investment bank
  • • Experience directly supporting senior executives or Boards of Directors through board preparation, strategy shaping, and cross-functional initiative execution
  • • Proven experience leading or meaningfully contributing to corporate development initiatives including M&A, partnerships, fundraising, or strategic investments with financial modeling and deal execution experience
  • • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments as a self-starter who creates structure and drives clarity without a fully scoped brief
  • • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex situations into concise, actionable executive materials
  • • Highly structured and execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while proactively identifying risks
