📋 Description

• As Director, Office of the Chairman at Bjak Sdn. Bhd., you will serve as a strategic extension of the Chairman, turning high-impact ideas into execution across critical initiatives including China market entry, talent acquisition, fundraising, and operational setup.
• Day to day, you will work directly with the Chairman to drive China market expansion from strategy to execution, build and execute hiring plans for high-caliber talent, support fundraising through investor materials and coordination, establish the company’s presence in China via office setup and vendor management, and support external positioning through PR and partnerships.
• You will operate within a high-talent-density, fast-moving team at A1, a proactive AI chat app builder focused on reliability, persistent context, and real-world task execution, where decisions are made collectively and speed is balanced with quality.
• In this role, you will develop strong judgment in ambiguous environments, sharpen your ability to prioritize and execute independently, gain end-to-end exposure to startup scaling across strategy, operations, and stakeholder management, and build credibility as a trusted operator capable of driving complex initiatives from concept to completion.

• Background in consulting (MBB), top-tier VC, startups, or high-performance operating roles
• Strong generalist able to switch between strategy, hiring, operations, and execution
• High agency — does not wait for instructions, figures things out and moves
• Strong judgment — able to prioritize what matters and make decisions with incomplete information
• Clear and concise communication — comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external partners
• High reliability — consistently follows through and delivers
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment
