  • • The Director, Partner Field Sales at Tanium Inc. plays a critical role in expanding and strengthening the company’s partner ecosystem by recruiting, enabling, and aligning sales and technical teams with partners to drive regional and area sales targets. This role is essential to moving beyond transactional reseller relationships and building mature, strategic partnerships with consultancies, advisors, service providers, and systems integrators to fuel new business and ARR growth.
  • • Day to day, the role involves directly supporting sales leadership and partners to accelerate planning, customer prospecting, and new customer acquisition; aligning with sales regions to drive engagements across all partner types; serving as the single point of contact for sales leadership within the region; proactively building and executing joint business and territory account mapping plans with partners; educating Tanium sales teams on partner value propositions and coaching them on effective collaboration; creating thoughtful partner go-to-market strategies for regional sales leaders; and aligning key strategic partners with top prospects and accounts to drive large deals.
  • • The role sits within Tanium’s Global Partner Sales team and works closely with regional sales leadership, partner organizations, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure alignment with Tanium’s broader sales strategy. Tanium is the Autonomous IT company, leveraging AI and real-time endpoint intelligence to empower IT and security teams to make organizations unstoppable, with a platform trusted by leading global enterprises and governments for endpoint management and security.
  • • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in strategic partner ecosystem management, gain experience driving complex multi-party sales motions, sharpen skills in territory planning and account mapping, and build influence as a trusted advisor to both sales leadership and external partners. Success in this role can lead to significant impact on regional revenue growth and career advancement within Tanium’s global sales organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in a regional or national partner sales role in the IT Operations and/or IT Security industry
  • • Experience creating a geographic partner business or national/global partnership
  • • Experience as a quota carrying seller or business development position with a successful track record (strongly preferred)
  • • Proactive style, capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • • Ability to effectively communicate with technical, business development, sales, and executive roles
  • • Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate independently while managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
