Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the Camunda Experience sub-division end-to-end, overseeing ~25 team members across multiple pods (~3 Builders per pod), with 3 Pod Leads reporting directly, and own business outcomes for the entire experience layer including Camunda Hub, Clients/SDKs, AI-native builder experience, AI skills, orchestration cluster web apps, and business application integrations.
- • Establish and operationalize the new Builder model — a unified role combining product, design, and engineering judgment — defining governance, rituals, quality standards, and forums to enable pods to ship customer-facing features in days rather than months.
- • Ship the first wave of Builder outcomes: deliver a revised Camunda Hub for managing and sharing process assets and collaborative modeling, and launch the AI-native builder experience with clear, iterative, customer-visible value.
- • Design the organizational architecture of the domain, defining pod boundaries, scopes, ownership seams, and interfaces across Hub, Clients/SDKs, AI-native builder, human-task surfaces, and business app integrations to ensure scalable problem discovery, solution definition, implementation, and support.
- • Shape long-term strategy in partnership with Strategy Product Managers, translating directional bets (e.g., "best builder experience for agentic orchestration") into concrete domain theses, sequencing, and investment logic, while feeding evidence from pod deliveries back into company-level strategy.
- • Own AI-first production line engineering for the domain: enforce a structurally invariant AI-first repo blueprint, invest in reusable agent context and skills, standardize shared CI/CD and platform capabilities, and establish governance for standards versus local flexibility to ensure every pod operates as a high-throughput AI-native production line.
- • Create conditions for sustainable maintenance and support at scale by clarifying ownership boundaries, balancing feature development against product health, and protecting long-term reliability and credibility as adoption of Hub, SDKs, and AI-native surfaces grows.
- • Maintain close, direct engagement with customers through regular conversations, grounding product decisions in firsthand user evidence rather than assumptions or secondary data.
- • Hold and raise the design taste and craft bar across all teams, ensuring high-quality user experiences are consistently delivered across the experience layer.
- • Operate effectively in a fully remote, global, async environment with high ownership expectations, aligning cross-functional teams across time zones without relying on synchronous meetings.
- • Partner with Strategy PMs to ensure alignment between domain execution and company-wide product vision, contributing strategic input rather than solely executing directives.
- • Drive organizational transformation by implementing the Builder model at scale, ensuring delivery momentum is maintained while transitioning from traditional product, design, and engineering silos to integrated, AI-first pods.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years in product building leadership, including managing managers and owning business outcomes for a complex, user-facing product domain.
- • Proven track record designing the operating model of a domain, not just running one (pod topology, interfaces, governance, quality bar).
- • Deep, hands-on fluency with AI-first product building — shipped real customer-facing software with AI as the execution layer.
- • Strong design taste and craft bar that you personally hold and raise across the teams you lead.
- • Close to the customer: regularly in customer conversations yourself, decisions grounded in direct user evidence.
- • Shapes strategy with Strategy/Product leaders, not just executes it.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere with a home office budget, co-working space support, and flexible time off.
- • In Person Connection: Annual Kickoff events (e.g., Vienna 2025, Madrid 2026), team offsites, and Camundi Connection Budgets for local gatherings and travel.
- • Health & Wellbeing: Access to locally tailored healthcare, Modern Health for global mental wellbeing, and the Live Well Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) — up to €1,000 annually from 2027 — for personal wellness, family care, financial wellbeing, and passions.
- • Financial Security: Retirement and pension plans with company contributions, plus life and disability insurance where applicable.
- • Professional Growth: Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning, including courses, certifications, and books.
- • Equity: Participation in the Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP) for eligible employees.
