- • As Director, Product & GM for Embed at Kraken’s Payward Services, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for a B2B2C trading infrastructure platform that enables fintechs, banks, and brokerages to embed institutional-grade digital asset trading into their own applications — driving adoption, revenue, and scalability without carrying a sales quota.
- • You will define product strategy and roadmap across trading, custody (custodial and non-custodial), APIs, recurring/limit orders, xStocks, and derivatives, working closely with the Derivatives team to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
- • Day to day, you will design systems spanning order management, execution, custody integration, compliance workflows, and trading UX/API patterns, ensuring technical robustness and regulatory alignment across multiple jurisdictions.
- • You will lead partner-led product development by working directly with clients to translate enterprise requirements into scalable product decisions, unblock integration barriers, and co-create solutions that solve real-world trading challenges.
- • You will treat the product as the go-to-market (GTM) lever, ensuring Embed is adopted because it integrates cleanly, reduces partner friction, and delivers measurable value — not through sales pressure, but through superior product experience.
- • You will manage a cross-functional pod comprising product managers, designers, and engineers, setting clear priorities, removing blockers, fostering accountability, and driving consistent, high-quality delivery across sprints and releases.
- • You will own and optimize key performance metrics including partner adoption rates, integration velocity, trading volume, end-user activation, and revenue impact, using data to inform iteration and strategic investment.
- • You will partner with Sales and Business Development teams to support strategic deals through expert product demos, technical consultation, and custom integration planning — acting as the trusted product authority in complex enterprise negotiations.
- • You will act as a central platform owner, collaborating with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Payments, and Custody teams to balance innovation with scalability, security, and global regulatory compliance.
- • You will operate in a high-ambiguity, fast-scaling environment within Payward Services, making decisive calls with incomplete information, adapting to evolving market needs, and championing a culture of experimentation and learning.
- • You will join a mission-driven, fully remote team of over 70 nationalities and 50+ languages, united by Kraken’s crypto ethos: to accelerate global adoption of digital assets so everyone can achieve financial freedom and inclusion.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in B2B2C fintech infrastructure, regulated financial products, and enterprise-scale trading systems — positioning yourself as a leader at the intersection of crypto, traditional finance, and platform product management.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on building B2B2C infrastructure — particularly platforms enabling trading, brokerage, or financial services within partner applications.
- • Deep experience with trading platforms or exchange infrastructure, including order types, execution models, custody, settlement, and scaling trading products; prior experience at an exchange, brokerage, or trading infra provider is strongly preferred.
- • Proven track record of shipping B2B products that partners successfully integrate, with hands-on experience navigating API design, enterprise onboarding friction, compliance requirements, and multi-tenant architecture.
- • Technical fluency sufficient to engage meaningfully in architecture discussions, evaluate build/buy tradeoffs, and challenge engineering decisions when necessary — without needing to write code.
- • Experience working within regulated financial services environments, understanding how compliance and licensing constraints shape product decisions across multiple jurisdictions.
- • Strong product sense combined with commercial awareness — ability to connect roadmap decisions to revenue outcomes and business impact without relying on a sales quota.
- • Demonstrated people leadership: experience building, managing, and mentoring cross-functional product teams, hiring top talent, setting high standards, and fostering high-performance cultures.
- • Comfort operating in ambiguity — ability to make fast, informed decisions with incomplete information and adapt as the business and market evolve.
